so the press is in favor of the left wing?
Obama's presidency was created by the press...I very slick marketing campaign. With no real political experience, they spun him until he was elected as the President...the press did something that no one else has been able to do so far(maybe they used the unobtainium)...they polished a turd...
Nixon was a Republican and hated by the press. Obama is a creation of the press and will be defended by them until he's no longer in office.Creation of the press? Can you elaborate on that? I'm not sure i fully understand.
You had best believe it. National media is polarized into the two great factions, with CNN, MSNBC, the US contingent of the Associated Press, the New York Times, USA Today, the LA Times, and the Washington Post all support the left to varying (sometimes extreme) degrees.
Conversely, Fox News and its lesser-known affiliates support the right, largely alone (they don't have as many large affiliates like the NYT or Chicago Tribune). All of the above listed news agencies heavily slant the issue in their own favor, mind you, so don't go picking favorites just because one supports republican ideals and the others don't.
Fox is derided as "Faux News" by the left, and a source of Nazist propaganda and other lies on major issues like Gun Control and Abortion, because they attempt to present news from the Conservative standpoint. Meanwhile Fox stands up to being picked on by basically every other national news agency, by calling up no-name politicians under the pretense of having moderate political discussion on a subject, but really just end up having one-sided political "discussions" with them to attempt to "prove" Fox's correctness on any given issue.
Because all of the left-sympathizing news agencies cater to a disproportionately larger Audience than Fox has or can in the South, the large majority of the American people are wholly dependent and thus brainwashed into believing only CNN etc. al.
are credible and politically agreeable sources of information. The result is (some would correctly argue) the News Media's extreme reluctance to cover anything counter or harmful to Left political stances:Example 1:
The trial of Kermit Gosnell, an abortion clinic owner (or surgeon; I don't remember which), who was found guilty of giving live-birth abortions and then disposing of the living fetus for the parent by killing it and/or dismembering it; the lack of any real method of oversight to prevent this kind of butchery in abortion clinics, meant it would sway public opinion negatively toward abortion. Fox-affiliates went nuts trying to cover this -- everyone else barely gave it an obscure 1 or 2 paragraph column at the back the "Life" pages, if they even covered it at all. Ironically, more and more media outlets on both the left and the right are running editorials on just how marked the national media's reluctance to cover the issue has been. Since news of his conviction broke, at least one other clinic in a different state has been found to use some of the same practices/unsanitary conditions.Example 2:
Coverage related to the Newtown shooting, and even the Colorado Movie Theater shooting are still making headlines weeks or even months later because it was a good chance to scare up some public support for gun control and the assault weapons ban. Meanwhile, the fertilizer factory explosion here in Texas, which literally leveled something like 10 blocks' worth of houses and killed several people, disappeared from the headlines within 1 week.Example 3:
The Tsnarnaev Brothers used explosives to blow up 250 people in Boston, but nothing was done other than to portray Bostonian endurance in the face of such terrible tragedy because explosives are already illegal. Still, the Tsarnaev brothers used AR-15's to shoot and kill policemen and plunge Boston into a miniature state of emergency.... But perhaps even more ironically, effectively ZERO attention has been paid to any of these details, because A.) The Assault Rifles they used (the exact same type used in the Newtown School Shooting, and initially at the Colorado movie theater shooting) were stolen or illegally acquired, and B.) Boston/Massachusetts completely prohibits the ownership of the rifles/magazines they used in the attack ANYWAY. At least one news agency has run an article in which someone injured by shrapnel in the blast, has said that the media has largely already forgotten those who died in the attack.
Everybody except for Fox has been supporting Obama tirelessly since day one, even glossing over the fact that the guy was basically a nobody with no experience when he first ran for office. They were on his side when the claims of him being an illegal alien came up, and have stuck with him all the way up to this Benghazi scandal, which they're now trying to claim was not HIS fault because he was given misinformation. Personally, I find it highly refreshing that the bastards at the Associated Press might have finally realized they were supporting a power-hungry, lie-filled administration; somebody found out that the Government warrantlessly and therefore illegally stole/seized/accessed something like a hundred gigs of phone calls and emails from the AP for surveillance purposes they wouldn't elaborate on.
These days, the media bias is so prevalent, that you'd basically have to draw your own conclusions off of any piece of news you read/watch/hear, instead of taking it anything at face value. It's really annoying because all of the worst news agencies for lying or slanting stories, say they are "un-baised" and "straight-talking".
