Been awhile ...

Moved 2 levels higher.  I'm counting serialized handguns.  If I counted barrel/slide setups ... I'd have to go 1 level higher.

Ship, we need that remove vote button on all TGF polls.

People who have never voted can still vote...

Well just added this lil ol 25 today. Caught my attention due to appearance similar to my 4516-2.
Basically NIB with 2 boxes of ammo original box and manual as well as a little Desantis holster for 300.
Puts the total about 16 iirc.
Long guns is another thing.

Probably been said but "more then I need, but not as many as I want"  Do you count black powder?  If so some where north of 35. If not maybe 30. I seem to have a contest with a buddy here, everytime he buys one I think I need one :icon_wink:

.
to tell the truth I wish I hadn't purchased so many guns - now in my later years I've got more important things that take up my time (vs shooting)

I have pistols that I haven't shot in years and probably won't shoot again - also a few long guns

there are a few that I see as having a "function" - carry, HD, vehicle - and those are the ones that I keep trying to "mission improve" (by experimenting with RDSs and Lasers, etc)

still enjoy an occasional  Range Day, but not like I used to, and now it's mostly to run some equipment tests

nothing stays the same

After almost 20 years of not buying any weapons I have decided to start stocking up this year.  Already got a bunch of new ones with a few more coming before the year is out.

I have 5. I need to move some out before I move more in. I'm generally trying to simplify life... I know it's not possible in reality, but the 1-gun paradigm is appealing. I do need to stop buying things based only on price, and buy more quality things that I will enjoy for a long time.

Unless you are drowning or on fire, there is never such a thing as too many guns or ammo!

Shield 45: That Budischowsky TP-70 .25 is a great find and looks good. Saw my first one was in the mid seventies and have wanted one since.  I don't see them for sale that often. Last one was an original model (not Norton Mfg.) six years ago at a show in Houston. Guy wanted $300 which I thought was little high and passed. Changed my mind about 15 minutes later went back and of course it was sold. I would gladly pay that and a little more for one today.

Want it?
Shot a mag and a half through it before it fell apart.
Cant find the needed part to fix it (gunsmith was unsuccessful)so as of now it is a paperweight.
Decocker mechanism fell apart.

Thanks but I think I'll pass on your generous offer. Was yours an original Budischowsky or a Norton? I understand that the original TP-70 was a decent firearm but when Norton Mfg. bought them out the quality took a nosedive.
Sorry to hear about your loss though.

Original.
Just cant find the darn part.
Also the thing was pretty much NIB
Had little to no evidence of use/wear.
I will try again at some point to find a smith to fix it.

Don't know what part you need but I've had decent luck with this company.  https://www.sarcoinc.com/
Bought two Tokarev barrels with swivel and pin from them last year when I had given up hope of finding them. Also found a WW II paratrooper holster for my Walther P38 that I didn't know I needed.
I'm assuming that you bought that TP-70 through a private sale and can't get your money back. If so that sucks. If your looking at it as a long term project I understand that.

Well it was purchased from a dealer it was an “as is” deal.
I will give them a look.
I have the big pcs as I was able to locate them when it happened. Thanks for link Ill have to ck it out.
Would be nice to have it functional at least it would be a safe queen as I have not intention to ever really use it for much was a oh thats so cool type of purchase.
