started with a layer of tan Krylon Fusion, then wrapped the stock with a net used for washing clothes, sprayed a layer of green, took off the net, let dry.  Repeated the layers of greens, brown, tan, & clear several times.  Then a few extra layers of clear.  I kinda think I should've left the netting on the entire time.

I am horrible with paint. It's outside of my skillet. I see a lot of rifle refinishes people say they sis with krylon. I am always so amazed that they did it themselves. Good job.

I'm not good with spraypaint either, but it can always be painted over or scraped off to start again ;)

I decided to paint the optic cover to sorta match.  It came out close enough I think.

If I had someone local who could do this, and I had some examples to actually hold in my hand and look at upclose... I could see myself doing this to either my PS90 or my SCAR. But, I'd have to feel the texture, see how scratch resistant it is... And, see it up close. Sometimes, pictures look better...

I just put the FNH tri-rail on my FS2k along with a front grip that holds a spare mag.  Sure, it adds weight up front, but it feels better balanced than a normal rifle.

Cool.

I wish the FS2000 came that way. I think I'd like it much more. I haven't had an opportunity to hold one with that front end kit already installed.

Ship,

The cerakote guy at Houston Armory does good work.  I had my 22 conversion slide done in a skull pattern - Corvette Yellow so I don't accidentally leave it installed.  They have several examples (20 or so) you can view and handle at the shop.  They are about 5 minutes from the Redneck Country Club when Chall and Turtle Bob invite us down for the experience.

I'll have to go check him out sometimes next year. I've just never had the opportunity to handle some samples.

And after not much time at all I took it back off.

Oh. Ryan has some FS2000s (used) in trade last year - he offered me first shot. I had wanted one about 5-6 month prior to that.

They didn't have that extra rail on them, however. But, I decided that I didn't want one anymore - or at least didn't want to pay money for one anymore. I'm happy with my SCAR, and I think I had just bought that Sig 516 right before. When you ad the price of an optic and a few accessories to a carbine, it gets expensive very fast
