I'll tell ya, all of the clubs that I have visited and shot a match with in the Houston area have been very welcoming to new shooters. I've yet to have a bad experience.

Monday nights at The Arms Room hosts IDPA as well (I'm not sure they're an affiliated IDPA club, but it is IDPA style matches):

im going to set this topic as a sticky, as i have been seeing a lot of questions about IDPA in houston and the surrounding areas, and this is a very useful and informative topic. great post, thanks for the info! :rocknroll2:

Note that PSC doesn't use the above linked website any more. They are using the PSC rang website for everything now (been this way for quite a few months now).
