can't help but take pics when it so nice outside

a look down the 800' driveway (that  we mow, weedeat and edge at least every week) - across our Pond and the newest fence on the right

from the back porch - across the back yard, over the fence to the near back pasture -the far back pasture is up that far hill and to the left of the tree line

I concur, very beautiful place there Tango.  :th_thicon_idea:

All your hard work shows. And I know the amount of hard work it takes to keep a place looking like yours.

.. I know the amount of hard work it takes ..

so true - mowing (4 different mowers), weedeating, blowdrying, fence painting, Barn cleaning, spraying weed killer along fence lines, moving dirt, fire ant killing, tending to animals twice a day, planning meals and fixin'  'em

normal day to do a few of those each day - 'twas but 83 today.....this summer's heat is gonna be tough on this old body -  gotta say tho that my Wife works as hard as I do (she looks for excuses to mow with the zero turn - sometimes she'll be out 'till 7:30)

but we love it.....

I have about the same going on here! It's a neverending battle to stay on top of things.

But, we love it too. I couldn't go back to living in a city or town anymore.

Very nice Tango. Some day my place will be my full time spot.
However.
Try two places.
13 or so hrs of shredding last Sat n Sun at the land and still had about 4-5 hrs to finish there. Cant wait til I get all the trees out I want out then the cutting will be much easier w/o all the obstacles to work around.
Today was weed eat mow and blow my current house in SA which has a large yard. Then other household chores that need done rest of day like clean the place. Splitting weekends between here and there always racing the sun.
Never run out of stuff to do be it yard house laundry etc. being single there is no one to assist either. Whatever needs done I got to do it. But the alternative aint for me. But on the bright side I did for first time in about a month get to stretch the MACH1s legs.

a fun filled morning - weedeating along a length of fenceline then spraying with weed killer - it's noon 30 and I just might be done for the day (tho edging along the sidewalk is calling me.....)

a couple of pics :  this lovely Crepe Myrtle had 5' hedge type bushes surrounding it - 'twas the devil to keep them trimmed and the bed cleaned out - also those pesky vines kept trying to kill the Crepe Myrtle

so - with Tractor, a shovel, a skill saw and some chain I "yanked and cut 'em" all out - when cleared we were surprised to see a small brick wall that had rotting house numbers - cleaned that up and replaced with aluminum 4" numbers

put sod down and my Wife put in a small Flower bed that includes a light to shine on the numbers - looks 100% better now

coming in via the driveway from the FM street there's a couple of brick walls (6 or 7' tall), one on either side of the driveway - heavy iron gates used to be electric (from days gone by) but the motor is shot (I think - don't care) - don't wanna fix it because electric gates are a pain and expensive to keep operating (repair costs - been there, done that)

but the walls are still there and they too used to have crappy plastic/wood numbers - I cleaned my side (the neighbor's is on the left - but he doesn't do shinola when it comes to his property) and put up 6" aluminum address numbers - looks good, in my opinion

the entry "wall" with the 6" numbers

a closer look at the house numbers - I think they look nice

Dayem Tango! Your place is looking even better, and it looked pretty danged good before.  :th_thicon_idea:

Love those crepe myrtle trees. I planted seven of those at my other house when I was married to my second ex-wife.
