ok, then how's 'bout the RIA 1911 .22 TCM/9mm combo pistol ? and, by the way, I don't concern myself with the cost of the pistol nor the cost of ammo - it's the pistols themselves that hold my interest

Good morning Tango.  That’s a pretty unique weapon.
Only thing I can add is that the sole manufacturer of the .22 TCM is Armscor. It is scarce but can be found.
I believe dred has an RIA  .22 TCM/9 mm. Hopefully he will see this and chime in.

It's an interesting concept. And RIA has a good reputation for decently made pistols at an attractive price point.

If you dont mind me asking Tango,,,, what use do you want it for?

..I don't mind - there are a few reasons that I own a particular firearm :

1)  personal protection.....G26 my truck, LCR .357 Wife's truck, Sig 938 desk drawer, FN 5.7 along with AR 15 or Beretta Cx4 Storm or Mossberg 20ga pistol gripped shotgun nightstand duty - Bond Arms 410/.357 (snakes)

2)  historical.....P06 & P08 Lugers, E German & Bulgarian Makarovs

3)  craftsmanship.....Browning HP, Nighthawk Enforcer, Guncrafter Ind, Ed Brown

4)  just because they're "cool"/unique.....headed by my Coonan Classic .357, STI Elektras and, and, and

5)  no hunting but (most of those above, and the others) for Range Fun

the RIA 1911 would be on the cool/unique/range fun list

There was a company In  reno Nevada that was building custom rifles. They were taking a 22 Tcm and coverting it to also use 9mm,  using a purpose built  changeable Barrel.
I tried to order one,,, only to never reach the custom company.

It's a neat aspect to me,,, anytime you can get a  multiple use, multi caliber, multi purpose firearm.  :th_thicon_idea:

Especially a really effective one that works like advertised.  :thumbsup1:

..the fact that this RIA 1911 is a "combo" isn't interesting to me - IF I was to get one (IF) I'd only do so for it's .22TCM capability (I've got plenty of other pistols that shoot 9mm)

well shucks - after extensive research of this pistol and me deciding to get one, it's not to be found (new), so far

I'm looking for the double stack, full length dust cover w/no rail, 5" barrel - like I said, it's 9mm capability is of zero interest to me (just as the supposed .38 special thru my Coonan .357 mag is of no interest) but the .22 TCM has .. got me intrigued

so, for all you who frequent gun shops and gun shows, please keep an eye out for me - thanks

Yep, and manufacturing of new ones may be effected too. Who knows. So, it may take a while to restock shelves

how's 'bout the RIA 1911 .22 TCM/9mm combo pistol ?

Tango ... I have 3 22TCM blasters.  They are easy on everything but your hearing and the Point of Impact.  Presently I run the single stack 1911 full size and I also have a commander length double stack and I recently added the bolt gun to my little collection.

Tips:  Ammo Supply Warehouse is your accessory source.  Ammo ain't bad - generally less than .30 a pull.

Fred Craig scored a major win with this Wildcat - it does 5.7 better than 5.7.  I can find you one if you want help.  Heck, I'm presently lusting after the titanium 1 of 2 custom Fred Craig is offering for 1850 on gunbroker right now.  The steelies generally sell around the $600 mark.

Shoots gentle.  Loud as a muzzle braked AR.  Fly's flat and true.
