German surplus ammo question
« on: November 04, 2019, 07:19:30 PM »
I have 40rds of German surplus 7.62x51 ammo (AB 22 20 Patrone, 7.62x51, DM 111, Weichkern), but when I try to find more of it I noticed a different boxed ammo listed in 308

Both rounds look the same, mine says 7.62x51 on the box and the ones for sale say 308 on the box

Are these the same rounds or is there a difference (pressure) like our 308 & 7.62x51

Great question.

Just speculation,, but military,  standard, and NATO ammo all have different pressures.

No idea what the facts are on this ammo.
But I know 308 and 7.62 NATO are different pressures.
Politicians are like diapers, they should be changed often, and for the same reason.
