..a good Wife, or what..
« on: September 26, 2019, 07:12:34 PM »
,
this Summer my Wife has seen me come in from mowing - hot, covered with dust and all sorts of nasty stuff

today we took her Spartan (muscular zero-turn mower) in for service - where I have it done it's also a Mahindra/New Holland dealership

her words today were "isn't it about time you got a new Tractor (my Kubota is 2 years old and has less than 200 hours on it) - something with an enclosed cab - A/C, Heat, Radio and a little more HP (mine is 39hp) - not only for Summer but Winter will be here soon"

so, I'm starting to do comparisons - probably between Kubota and John Deere - I love the HST transmission and around 50hp "would work" for me

thank you Sweetheart.....

My wife told me that I should buy another AR and more ammo.
"The laws that forbid the carrying of arms are laws of such a nature. They disarm only those who are neither inclined nor determined to commit crimes.... Such laws make things worse for the assaulted and better for the assailants; they serve rather to encourage than to prevent homicides, for an unarmed man may be attacked with greater confidence than an armed man."

Just bought a striped lower today! Boy the price has gone up, last year I got one for $35, today I spent $70. This one will be a braced AR pistol with a 7 inch barrel with a binary trigger.

(I'm guessing there's plenty of threads on this forum where AR stuff would be appropriate - ones other than the "Cars, Trucks, Bikes, Atvs" one - but also guessing that you know that.....)

looked at and drove a Kubota L6060 - 60hp- enclosed cockpit with heat/ac/radio - very nice machine

also have brochure for New Holland and will get to John Deere to take a look, Monday

a cab ?
maybe for 90+ acres of hay meadow or open field.
before my friend passed away, we used to work his
89 (?) acres of hay meadow, and there were days when
a cab would have been nice.
mowing a 20 + - parcel ? i could get it done before i
got a good sweat going. think of all those old men that
used to mow 100 or so with an old gas 8N or the like.
i used to run the rake on my friend's place with a MT jd
i had at the time. all that radiator heat coming off at me
