Quick Look: New Interordnance Bullpup Shotgun

Quote
Interordnance recently introduced the impressive looking IO XB12, a 12-guage bullpup-style semiauto shotgun. The short scattergun packs a lot of firepower in a compact package, complete with two detachable five-round magazines.

Actually the MSRP of $759 is very attractive. I'm not really a "bull-pup" type of person, as I just never was comfortable with the configuration, this is kind of neat.

Once upon a time, I was dying to get that Keltec shotgun. When it first came out, dealers were doubling the price, and it sold out immediately - if you could find one.

I really wanted one until I read about the guy who bought the cheap forgrip - had the forgrip break off, and then shot himself in the hand.

Granted, a Magpul foregrip is better quality than what that poor guy was using. But after I read that - I decided that I did not want one.

Now, I have too many neck problems to shoot any shotgun. I shot Jeb's once at the last group shooting meet we had, and he had one of those hydraulic stocks that lowered the recoil. Even with that, the buckshot rounds hit hard enough to irritate my neck. So, I've decided that I will do without a shotgun.

I hear ya Ship. I have never shot a "bull-pup" shotgun, but I have a couple of rifles in that configuration. The just didn't feel right for me. I understand the concept and even applaud the engineering and design of them, just not for me though.

Well, I love the PS90 bullpups, and I have owned two AUGs. So, I do like some bullpups

I missed this thread first time 'round, but ...

I bought one a few weeks back.  So far ... live it.  Interordnance ain't for crap but ... I don't anticipate too many more problems.

It has a 4 position adjustable gas block that isn't even mentioned in the manual.  After I mangled the shutter dust cover, I figured I had to figure the thing out.  Turns out they delivered it set for light loads and I started out the box with magnums and 3" shells.

Since IO isn't worth a crap, I'm shutterless until I decide to call Turkey.  I failed to find a replacement stateside.

It does shoot softly compared to a KSG.  Next time out I'm gonna be "that guy" and chase some clay pigeons.

Dred, what's the optic on that bullpup?
