If I were to buy or build a pistol AR, it would most likely be in a pistol cartridge, like a 9mm, or possibly a 10mm. Might even entertain going with the 300 Blackout cartridge.

300blk is pretty good in a short barrel from what I understand.
I have a few guns.

IIRC, it's design concept was as a round meant for short and suppressed barrels in the AR platform.

This is a PSA AR Pistol with 8.5 inch barrel in .300 Blackout I gave my son for Christmas last year. I also fitted the Sig Sauer red dot on top. Last year his department authorized AR 15 type pistols for duty use. He keeps it in a quick release mount fitted right above his patrol card windshield.

I bought a Springfield Saint with 9 inch barrel in .300 Blackout a few months ago. Paid almost twice as much for it than the PSA. Out of the box I had problems with it. Brace wouldn't adjust correctly, trigger was sloppy and a couple of others that just pissed me off. Sold it to a young Aggie with full disclosure. Will probably get another PSA soon.
