Do any of you have one of these?
« on: June 03, 2019, 06:49:19 PM »
Fully functional battery operated clock with hidden storage space

I have one on a table in the hallway by my front door. This photo shows my Ruger LCRx in .38 Sp +P and a 1,000Lum flashlight. I recently swapped the Ruger for a Glock Model 33 in .357 Sig.

I do have few fully-functional clocks in the house!  :rocknroll2:

I have seen those and the picture frames similar, and have looked at them, and I really think I could build my own instead.

They are a neat idea for sure though.

Why? Nobody that is a casual lurker here knows who I am? The only problem I could see would be you laying up with Boomer at 200 yds.  :icon_wink: I intended this thread to be somewhat of a companion piece to Ship's bedside endtable thread.
Academy has been selling these locally for the last three years. Criminals with any brains probably know what they are. To me it's just a convenient place to keep a firearm out of sight in a location that allows me to access to it if needed.

200 yards?  Why let them get so close?   :scream3:  :scream3:

I didn't realize it until we had been in this house for a while that such a piece had been 'built in'.
Discovered by accident, won't hold boomer but would hold more handguns that anyone of us could concealed carry at one time.

Thinking the same thing. I've had my eye on that poster with the handle "Tango" for awhile now. He seems to be a salty character that's not  a'feared to speak whats on his mind.  :thumbsup1:

Could you imagine the coffee table that TXAZ would need to stash Boomer?  :th_thicon_lol:

Why? Only a couple of people on this forum know my real name. The only people allowed in my house are people I know and trust. Other than DA people inviting thieves by leaving their car doors unlocked there has been no real crime here. The clocks are sold commercially so their no big secret.
I am pretty much at home most of the time. In the off chance there is nobody home I arm my security system and cameras. My son is an LEO and lives about fifty yards away. He has an app for my security system. If we are gone more than a day he'll park his patrol car in my driveway and one of the grand kids, there all young adults, or my brother in law will stay.
I'm not naive enough to believe that a dedicated thief couldn't get in but I don't believe for one second that posting a photo on an internet forum is in anyway inviting trouble.

Hmmmmmm. In my years of living in Houston, I learned to leave my vehicles unlocked. Thanks to having to replace several windows and pryed locks. Easier on the old pocketbook that way.

I would wager that you knew better than to leave anything of value in that unlocked vehicle. Not so here. Some people are just naive or ignorant. Savvy thieves can hit twenty-thirty unlocked cars in a few minutes.
