Did some measuring for materials this morning. Plan on building a lean-to off the storage building, so I have a place to keep my riding mower and push mower, and get them out of the garage and free up some space.

Been working on my long range back stop (175 yds) recently. Adding a boat and some dirt.
Its a WIP as it will evolve Im sure.

If you dug up my old backstop at the back of my property, you would find a couple of old couches and other furniture! :wave1:

Underneath all that dirt are the old (2 layers) of shingles off my 1500m sf house here in town.

Well the materials list for the lean to is simple. Three 8' posts, a couple of 2x4's, and a few sheets of tin roofing panels. Also plan building a planter's bench inside the storage building.

The storage building is a 10x12. The lean to on the side will be 8x12. With the height at the lowest level at seven feet.

Hopefully, if the weather cooperates, I can get back to work on the screened in back porch in the next couple of weeks.

I need to now and burn some brush piles, but it's too wet right now. And there is more rain being forecast in a few days. :bangheadonwall:

Best time to burn the stuff when everything around is wet.
Little diesel fuel to entice it and done.

I'll have to wait until it quits raining so much and dries out some first.

Taking advantage of a few nice days of sunshine. We went to Lowes yesterday, and picked up the rest  of the lumber to finish up the framing for the screened in back porch. Framing is now completed as of this afternoon. Depending on the weather, will pick up the door and screen material early next week, then the siding. If all goes well, it should be done by late next week, or early the week after that.

4 more fence posts set yesterday - making a total of 24 in the ground and have 58' left to do - that's 8 more posts then can start on the horizontal 2x6s

but a dadgum cold front is 'sposed to come in this afternoon so that might put a crimp on the work - would really like to get all the posts in the ground

not feeling like a King, more like a tired person

worked in a heavy mist this morning but got 4 posts more in the ground (28 total) - have 26' to go to the present fence - would have set more (the last 3) but the ground there is hard clay and the Post Hole Digger only goes in about an inch (then just spins).....so, I dumped water over the dig sites (will check again in a bit) and hopefully that'll soften up the clay enough to "dig" (I hate the thought of using the 6' steel pry bar to loosen the clay - it's one heavy sonnygun)
