APX Carry is out
« on: April 23, 2019, 02:48:28 PM »
Apparently, Beretta has released its new APX Carry gun:

Apparently, you can order them here: https://www.armsunlimited.com/Beretta-APX-Carry-9mm-Pistol-p/jaxn922.htm

As striker fired guns are not really my thing, I doubt I will order one. Plus, I like to have a bit more rounds in my carry gun. But, I did once own a couple of M&P Shields. Should be around the same size.

The S&W Shield 2.0 is tried and true, also less expensive.
"The laws that forbid the carrying of arms are laws of such a nature. They disarm only those who are neither inclined nor determined to commit crimes.... Such laws make things worse for the assaulted and better for the assailants; they serve rather to encourage than to prevent homicides, for an unarmed man may be attacked with greater confidence than an armed man."

Nothing wrong with an alternative.

If no one came out with new guns, we would not have any new guns  :P

True... but your talking to a guy that carries a 34 year old gun almost daily.

Seems closer to a Glock 42 size (the little 380)

just to compare.....

my Sig 938 (9mm) with it's pinky extended mag) measures in at 5.75" x 4 3/8"

the Wife's Sig 238 (380) with it's pinky extended mag) measures 5 3/8" x 4 1/4"

so there's lots of choices "out there" (and in my humble, uneducated in comparison-matters opinion, better choices)

I have read that it is basically a variation of the Beretta NANO, in a different frame, with a minor difference or two...

After looking it over, and some careful consideration, I am going to add the APX Carry to the list of compact 9mm pistols to check out.

Thanks Ship.  :th_thicon_idea:
