..that 1 set of wheels..

(autos only, no tanks, halftracks, M50 Ontos, 155mm SPs,  tractors, lunar rovers, etc...Please)

IF you had the frivolous $s for your dream car what would it be ?

I'm thinking mine would be an Aston Martin Vanquish.....(but I don't do a lot of research on such things)

I loved Miami Vice. So, a white, 80s vintage Testarossa.

2019 Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 Convertible with all the options the bow tie guys make available except the rear wing. Replace the god awful stock Goodyear run flats with Michelin Pilot Super Sports and I would be good to go.

Is the "Lunar Rover" out of the question? :)

I'm pretty happy with my Chevy Silverado.

Or what Alte wants.

I loved Miami Vice. So, a white, 80s vintage Testarossa.

I was partial to the black Ferrari Daytona that Crocket started with. It was a replica built on a Corvette chassis, but it was still cool.

Yes, I remembered that the Daytona was not original. But, I still liked the white Testarossa more

Whoooo....I do really like the "real" Cobras, but those cars, (and I use that term loosely!) are very pricy! Some of the kit cars are pretty faithful reproductions, at a discount. Insurance rates on a real one would keep most of us from being able to own one, much less to be able to drive it.

1972 Mustang Grande with 351 Cleveland 4bbl and the FMX transmission like the one I built for my daughter when she was in High School.

Given my preferences, and money was no object, yes, I would much prefer the real thing. But with the real AC or Shelby Cobras approaching and many even exceeding $1 million in asking prices, (and getting it as well.) it puts them out of reach for the average auto enthusiast to be able to afford them. Some of the "kit" cars are pretty authentic in how they are put together. Most of the better ones, are way much better than the "kit" cars of many years ago.

Check out Factory Five Racing kit cars. And they aren't cheap by a long shot, but affordable for the quality of the kits.

Yeah that 351 Cleveland was/is BA. I had a friend that dropped one in a '70 Torino, spiked it with a couple of dual Holly pumpers, Hooker exhaust system, Hurst Blackjack manual, and a couple of other things. Beside the Dodge Dart 440 I rode in a couple of times that Ford was the scariest car I've ever been in. The low end torque was absolutely amazing. Would love to do it again.

1970 Chevelle SS in black with two white racing stripes down the middle.
"The laws that forbid the carrying of arms are laws of such a nature. They disarm only those who are neither inclined nor determined to commit crimes.... Such laws make things worse for the assaulted and better for the assailants; they serve rather to encourage than to prevent homicides, for an unarmed man may be attacked with greater confidence than an armed man."
- Thomas Jefferson, Commonplace Book (quoting Cesare Beccaria), 1774-1776
