Love me sum chicken spaghetti.  :th_thicon_idea:

Alte, you would love my wife's chicken spaghetti. It's awesome!

She also makes a killer King Ranch chicken casserole too. Every time she makes it, I eat way TOO much!

She is making some more garlic toast for dinner as I type this!  :rocknroll2:

Wife made a big pot of home made spaghetti sauce  and man is it good.
Also made my nongarlic garlic bread from a recipe that I got years ago
from ole Justin Wilson the Cajun chef.

I like mucho Spaghetti and I've got a very good no Tomato Pasta Sauce (it uses Red and Yellow Bell Peppers and just 1 small can of Tomato Paste) - best Sauce I've ever had

for me, however, it's just too dang hot (time of the year) to really enjoy Spaghetti (and Meatballs - for which I have a wonderful recipe too)

love Chicken and Dumplings also, but again.....too hot time of the year to really enjoy

I watch "the Texas Bucket List" on tv sunday mornings while having coffee (nothing else for "noise") - a repeat segment showed a beer joint down on the gulf that serves a "Cajun Grilled Cheese" sandwich - 3 bun layers, 4 slices of Cheese and crawfish between each bun slice

sounds good but I'm not "into" crawfish - so I've set out a bunch of Sam's Club's Argentine Red Shrimp, which I'll sauté in Garlic Butter - then build and broil the sandwich

and, by the way, I can't stand that show's host - fat nothing guy who stuffs his face for the camera - but he does go to some interesting

...
sounds good ...

Wouldn’t you expect most any Cajun sauce on cardboard to taste pretty good?

I'm not using "Cajun sauce" per se - in fact it'll probably be only Mayo - it's the Garlic Shrimp and the Cheese that I wanna "taste"

Unfortunately, last week when the wife made meatloaf and potatoes, I developed stomach cramps really bad and didn't get to eat any that night. The next day, I decided to finish off the wonderful chicken spaghetti she had made previously. WAS, going to have some for dinner that evening, but it was all gone!  :bangheadonwall:

I jumped my stepson's butt about it as well. He doesn't bring in groceries, or do any of the cooking whatsoever, but does avail himself of what we cook to eat and then also take with him for his lunch during the day. This isn't the first time it's happened, and I voiced my displeasure with the wife later on.

The boy couldn't cook to save his life, but, if he would buy the groceries, I'd be more than happy to cook them for him and us. So tonight the wife is making ANOTHER meatloaf and fried potatoes, with green beans and some garlic bread.

The aren't happy with me when I get vocal, and angry about these things, but, they are going to be much more upset, when I stop getting vocal, and have had enough and then take action when I reach my limit.

Second wives and step kids in my experience (been there done that both ways my kids new wife and new wife her kids) is always a stress adder to relations.

Sounds like JR is old enough to work and in my book that means contribute via $ or otherwise.

Or option B is the door.

Above may be why I no longer have either.

As for dinner

Tuesday was Tacos

Last night
Hill Country Fare provided the box I provided the chicken and together we made
Chicken Alfredo.

no time to fix a Meatloaf (manana) so decided on a BLT

Wife used our last Tomato so decided to try Rotel (Mild) in it's stead - absolutely delicious - so much so that I fixed a 2nd one.....so much so that I'm sitting here thinking about making a 3rd one

(was gonna slice an Avocado and put some on the sandwich - but no need - great "as is" using the Rotel !

That's awesome. Something about my grand kids, have three, that puts a smile on my face. Youngest, 17,  came over a couple hours ago and asked to borrow my 5.0 Genesis for a date tonight. Gave him $20 and told him to take his grandma's new SUV.
Before you know it TXAZ that same day's a comin'.

in around noon (from fence/gate work) - taking a break to get something on my stomach so that I can take my meds - have only been eating 1 or 2 meals a day during this heat but need to get those pills down

and, while inside, took the opportunity to cut into "sticks" another Jicama, besides good for snacking it's a healthy food too  :

https://www.healthline.com/nutrition/jicama-nutrition-benefits#section1

also cut up and boiled a Potato, which I'll dice and use in my Corned Beef Hash recipe - will probably have that, along with 3 or so Poached Eggs for my dinner tonight

dang I make some good eats !!!!!
