Today was Dadís 91ís birthday. We went to Saltgrass, he had shrimp, the rest of us stakes or Chicken Fried Steaks.
Nice low key dinner that was very good.

That's awesome TXAZ!  :th_thicon_idea:

Congrats on your father reaching 91 years. Happy Birthday to the spirited gentleman.  :wave1:

after bitchin' and moanin' about the (small) size of Burger Buns (Mrs Baird's Jumbo Buns are a joke) I finally came across a larger Hamburger Bun that's worthy of my Teriyaki Burgers.....

made by Ballpark, called Tailgaters, called Gourmet - they're better than anything else I've found (and got 'em at WMT)

yea

I've always "wondered" about Cracker Barrel restaurants - didn't feel like cooking tonight (after a hard day's work) so the Wife and I decided to eat at our somewhat-local CB

have never been to one before - will never again go to one from here on - total crap tasting food

Went to Ron's Hamburgers and Chile Restaurant in Tomball.

Ever been to Pecos Steakhouse in Tomball? Itís just north of the old Lubys off of B249. Great tasty steaks and at fair price. The wife and I had dinner there for under $40 (before tip) this week.

Yes the wife and I have been there a few times and was very good.

Last night the wife and I and my daughter and grand daughter went to a place called Giannis Italian Grill in Tomball that we had never been to before
as it sits back off 249 and medical complex Dr. and I have to say no more Olive Garden for us.as everything was fantastic.

Wife made some of her awesome fried chicken. Not as good as the fried chicken my Granny made, but pretty danged good let me tell you! Had some fresh yeast rolls from the bakery, and some homemade fries and country style gravy to go with it. I am stuffed!

I invited my Dad n Brothers to camp today, and we had grilled beef kolbasi,  saurkraut, baked beans and ice tea.    I cooked.

Then I left my 12 year old nephew empty out the 4. CZ 75 mags out of my PCR in a proper fashion. 😁 We made some noise while working on his handleing, loading, unloading, and firing techniques. He LOVES shooting CZ anything as he has his own CZ 22 lr.

Good company, good food, good guns, and the smell of burning powder. 😁

An afternoon well spent IMO.

a long day of weedeating then Tractor mowing (Wife on "her" Spartan zero turn..) - came in had 1 cocktail then into the shower

really didn't want to cook so decided on Hotdogs, which I like (actually BIG sausages) and they're tastin' pretty darned good as I type

wanted to watch a little tv during dinner but there's only crap on the local network channels - jungle ball, golf and contact Ice Capades

I got back to house about 4 pm, and worked on my riding mower, putting a new drive belt on it. Worn down now!

Haven't decided what to have for dinner tonight, but them Tango dogs are sure sounding pretty good!  :th_thicon_idea: :rocknroll2:

have a dermo doc apt today (stitches coming out) so there won't be Tractor mowing today  :frown:

will stop and get the ingredients to make my Homemade Meatballs (I like 'em about twice the size of a golf ball) - I use ground Sirloin mixed with 1lb of Jimmy Dean "Maple" Sausage (that really "makes" the taste), some Sweet Onion, Red Chili Flakes and other ingredients

gonna have that and whole Button Mushrooms, in a thick Brown Gravy, over Pasta for our dinner tonight (and perhaps I can talk my Wife into makin' up a nice Salad to go with it.....yum yum - good eats, me likie)

Tango, those sound pretty good indeed sir!  :th_thicon_idea:

I usually put some hot or spicy pork sausage in my meatballs or meat sauce for pasta. It does give the extra kick it needs to taste right for me.

Last night, I made myself some sausage, egg, and cheese sandwiches and made some french fries to go with them. They were pretty danged good!

Tonight, the wife plans on some pan-fried pork chops, dressing, sweet peas, yeast rolls, gravy and mashed potatoes for dinner.

that combo of ingredients makes for a really good Meatball - and the "smell" while browning is that of the Maple in the Sausage

I've got the package of Button Mushrooms now cooking in the (store bought) Brown Gravy - will add about 3 of the Meatballs for each of us (6 total) in a bit and let them add flavor to the Gravy while they finish cooking

I've got a lot of different cuts of Pasta but I believe I'll go with Thin Spaghetti tonight

my Wife, bless her heart, picked up Hay and Alfalfa today, then unloaded it in the barn (and raked up a bunch of scattered old Hay (for bagging and garbage pickup) - she just fed the Dogs and is now prepping a Salad for our dinner - Love that Gal !
