Put a little fresh coat of paint on one of my favorite plunking guns. My 40cal HiPoint carbine.
The original black was basically wore off so a fresh coat of Lycoming grey amp some clear.

I think it came out looking pretty decent.

Since my property has no amenities as yet like electric and septic water etc my Dad decided I needed this.

No hole required so its on a faux concrete AC unit pad. And its a slide in bucket set up.

Sure is a step up from my previous set up.

When I close my eyes I can still smell the aroma of the noxious combination of burning mogas mixed with s*** and urine and it didn't smell like victory.

New addition to the family. Trained shepherds in the military years ago but never owned one myself. He and my wife's spaniel are wary of each other now. Both wanting to be the dominant alpha I think but I'm pretty sure that will work out. Knows basic hand and voice commands but I'll be teaching him a few other tricks.
Previous owners named him Bear which I personally don't care for but that's his handle so I'll have to live with it.

Great dogs Ive had 3 over the yrs
Couple as a kid growing up and one that flunked out of police training smart but had issues staying on task. To this day Id stomp a mud hole in whoever fed her antifreeze which took her alter several months failing kidneys.

Bear is a nice looking Shepard.

Easy to change a dogs name.
As Im sure you know food is a powerful motivator for them. Call him what ya want and reward with a treat every time he comes over to it. Soon Bear will respond to what ever you desire.

No idea what his name was before I rescued him but after a couple days of above BEVO it was.

My son and his wife are A&M Graduates and my granddaughter is entering her third year. My wife worked in the Office of the President at Texas A&M for 32 years. If I was to rename Bear "BEVO" we would both be homeless and you could catch our exploits on the HOBO channel.  :wave1:

I want to add that there's a special place in hell for people that abuse animals.

can't begin to tell you how much we agree with that comment - take a look at this link, the Houston SPCAs facebook page.....the pic of the Horse on the ground is our Cinco, before being rescued - then other pics of how he's doing today (God bless our Boys and may God damn their abusers)

Agreed 100000% on animal abuse

Bevo was a runner at A&M actually. Kept showing at a friends apt. Owners came for him 2x 3rd time they never showed so my buddy let me “rescue” him and bring him to SA. As my sister and BIL bothe were UT grads and work at UTSAHSC I went with the BEVO name.

I hear ya Shield! My Bandit is a "Butthead" too sometimes! But it's partly because I have spoiled him rotten. Bandit was stray pit bull that showed up here about three years ago. For about three weeks I kept trying to run him off, but he kept coming back. So I just sort of "adopted" him in with the others.

Where we live in the county is a pretty rural area, and since we have lived here, the wife and I have "adopted" quite a few strays that have been dumped off on our county road.

I put animal abusers in pretty much the same category as wife and kid beaters, and child molesters. I have ZERO toleration of any of them, and all of them deserve a special place in hell!

IMO what would be “fun”would be if ya caught an animal abuser in the act to apply the exact same abuse to them. Of course while wearing a costume of the effected animal ya know for impact.

I can be a little twisted.
