That is true! When I was a teenager, I couldn't wait to leave home, and get away from clearing brush, and building fences, and most farm work in general. Swore I'd NEVER clear brush or build another fence in my life once I left home. Boy did I tell myself a huge lie! But the truth is, I actually enjoy it now for some strange reason. Might be because it's mine and part of my legacy.

Yup. Seems to me as well the work Im doing on my land is not “work” but more reward and benefit.

Tango, it looks like the rain is doing your grass some good. Nice looking yard.  :th_thicon_idea:

coffee and waiting 'till time to feed the Boys (Horses) - a beautiful E Tejas Spring morning so took a couple of pics of the front of the property

looking out my garage, down our driveway towards the street - across our Pond and tail-end of my Tractor - this is the area in which a garage extension would occur, with the driveway/parking area extended up to the garage entrance

my Kubota w/Rotary Cutter (set for today's mowing), our Pond, looking towards the front Pasture with our new Barn (other side of Fence

front yard w/gate leading to the Barn/Pasture - we've actually got 3 gate thru which we can access the Front Pasture (I like "gates" and still have a 10' and a 13' standing in "reserve" for future fence construction  :th_thicon_idea:)

You have a beautiful place Tango. I can see the pride you take in keeping it looking nice too.  :th_thicon_idea:

Just curious, are there any fish in that pond?

'sposed to be, according to the previous owner - I've seen plenty of fingerlings around the shoreline (when I've taken wayward Turtles back to the Pond after they've "come ashore" to lay eggs - or baby Turtles that we occasionally find in our "cement Pond")
