Just fed the dogs, took my morning meds and poured my first cup. George 41's train will be coming through later this afternoon. All schools and govt. offices get a half day today. Got a spot picked out to watch the 21 F-18's flyover during the service. Saw Air Force 1 yesterday.

.
it is indeed a "good morning" - because our Boys, Cinco and Ali, were transported here yesterday (from New Waverly, where they've been boarded since we've moved to our new property and we've all been waiting for the new Barn to be built) so this is the 1st "good morning" for all of us  :th_thicon_idea:

I'll have to wait 'till tomorrow before I'll be able to post on-topic, because the only time I ever have coffee these days is on my once-weekly 2:00 AM visits to Denny's before I start my shift at work! :th_thicon_lol:

..George 41's train ..

tho I voted for the man, always, it was my "lesser of 2 evils" that I did so

one morning when I was working I got to my airplane before any of the rest of the crew - and discovered a "suit" wandering in the jetway - a secret service guy who was following bush around that morning.....seems bush had brought 2 of his grand kids to the airport for a flight to Newark (then on to wherever that clan goes)

bush had escorted the kids on for "early boarding" so I introduced myself to him and said I was the Captain in charge of the flight - would make sure the kids were taken care of.....to which he appeared very disinterested (he may have actually shrugged as if to say "I expected no less") and gave no reply - a "thank you" or "nice to meet you" wudda been nice but there was nothing, not even a "kiss my ass"

from that day forward I've had zero respect for the man

as an add :  his grandkids were to make a connection to one of Continental's commuter flights and continue to their destination but our people on the ground in newark didn't know that they were to do so or that they were even aboard our flight.  I "suggested" that our people send "someone" to meet our airplane, escort the kids to the commuter flight and make sure they continued on (without getting lost in the Newark terminal) - our ground people did so - you're welcome, bush

on the other hand, my Wife who is a Flight Attendant, says that his wife, Barbara (the one who looks like Geo Washington) is as nice as can be - to everyone

So the Secret Service gave you the cold shoulder. And that made you not like the POTUS.
Mmmmk

Cuz Im pretty sure GHWB was NOT walking the Tarmac on the AP.

perhaps I didn't make my post clear.....it was bush who offered himself to be the stand-offish dolt (not the SS guy)

and we (the grand kids, bush and I) were all aboard the aircraft, not walking the ramp
