Need to ck if eligible for upgrade. Phone is doing OK I just noticed the battery duration between charges getting less. Used to be good all day no issue now itll get down close to 20% alot and my usage is about same.

We shale see soon this one is pushing 3 now.

I am due for a new phone and so is the Misses.  I prefer Android she likes Iphone.  I tend to stay a generation behind so they have realistic pricing

Yes sir.  Had to replace the battery and display last year.   And while upgrading to iOS 10 a year ago,  S    L    O    W with faster battery discharge.

I think this must be like crack.

Well I'am just old school as I still have my AT&T Pantech flip phone now for about 6 or 7 years now and it still works fine for me.

Negatory
Like MAC's but prefer dual sim card phones, instead of carrying two around (Work and Personal).

Since Apple isnt inclined to add that feature. I doubt Ill own another Iphone.

I thought I read a rumor that the new Apple phone would have this. I saw it in the title line of a news article about the upcoming phone, but did not click on the story.

Yes the Xs & XsMax both support dual SIM's.

Voice calls can come or go from either carrier.

(The only caveat is you have to manually swicht / select in Setting which carrier you want DATA to be sent over. )

After reading quickly... 1 real nanoSim and one electronic (eSim) for the world with exception of China.  Too bad Iphones in China cost 10x what they do in the rest of the world... Sux cause they make them there for pennies.. lol

Not real helpful as I often use multiple sim cards from differing countries in a day.   Plus 99% of countries do not even support eSim.

another swing and a miss IMO..

Actually more like a next step.  Everything takes time with large numbers of users / systems and new features.
In a few years eSims will be the standard.

i might get an iphone some day if they start
selling 'em at dollar general for $19.95 like
this last phone was. i can buy a couple of
"airtime cards" at walgreens twice a year
and be good to go.  :th_thicon_funny:
i can't see having a monthly bill that's like
a payment for a used truck just to have a phone
like some of my friends and relatives do.  :bangheadonwall:

Takes time? they are a decade behind their competitors and the competition allows you to answer both lines... Not the call standby, where one call goes to voicemail automatically if your on the other line. That they are touting as "cutting edge"

Oh I would much rather have a flip phone 90% of the time, no texts, no emails, no File Transfers after hours.

want to use up my airtime, but i can also stop by the
public library and use one of these computers at no cost
like i am now ( that is to say no cost other than my tax dollars)

Got an iPhone X last year and really like it, so I will not be getting another one this year. I tried the iPhone 8 before I got the iPhone X but didn't like the larger size. I like to pocket carry and it fell out of my pocket several times before trading it for the iPhone X.

I have had an iPhone 6S for the last 2 years and its still working great so I am going to keep using it.  I am not the type that buys a new phone each time a new model comes out.
