I’ve heard several democrats distance themselves today from the lovely Maxine Waters, while a few endorse her calls for harassment of people that disagree.

So the straight up question is, where is this going? Is the US headed for reconciliation after the next election, continued diatribe and BS, selective attacks from left wingers or something akin to civil war?

No diatribe or name calling please, but I’d really like to listen to other views.

Not sure where its going but it sure is obvious which side needs to take a “look in the mirror” and compare their actions with their accusations of the other side.

Might see that what your saying about the others IS exactly what your doing.

Where it is headed I dont see it as a good destination.

It's already been taken to the extreme. Last year Liberals/Solcialist violent rhetoric spurred James Hodgkinson to shoot a Republican Congressman and a couple of other innocent people practicing for a baseball game. You would think libs would learn from that but no. Low IQ (As how Trump puts it) Maxine Waters ramps it up a notch then denies it and blames it all on POTUS. If you haven't seen her get a dose of her own medicine watch this. It's LOL funny:
https://bigleaguepolitics.com/watch-laura-loomer-confronts-maxine-waters/
If the rhetoric and confrontations don't end soon someone will probably get hurt. My LEO son and I were watching the clip where they surrounded the Director of Homeland Security's residence at night yelling trough bullhorns. No enforcement of the local noise ordnance probably means the cops were probably told to stand down. We are both in agreement that crap wouldn't fly in Brazos County and probably most places in Texas. I'm not condoning shooting someone but libs should consider that, in this state, a healthy part of the population have firearms and people have the right to protect their family and property with deadly force. Please no lecture on the Penal Code or the castle doctrine or if they do this I can do that. Some people can't handle others that just won't abide by social norms or just won't tolerate someone in their face shaking a finger or fist. And some people get pissed easily. Right or wrong pulling the trigger is the ultimate end game.

I believe the tribalism will only get worse. Trumps days are numbered period. People are not automatically going to change their tune once a new POTUS is chosen. Regardless of political aisle he/she comes from..  I dont think civil war will be on the horizon but we are definitely headed for some sort of collapse.

60% of those eligible voted in 2016 so at least that many have chosen a side. I think conservatives have a good chance of holding on to the house and senate this year and Trump may get another four years.
The Supreme Court upheld Trump's travel ban yesterday. Liberals are already talking about how this law should be ignored and do what your conscious dictates. When we become a society that can pick and choose what laws we need to follow and which ones not to follow this country is doomed. I don't have enough money so I'm going to rob a bank. It's OK though because I think the law about armed robbery is racist and discriminates against the "less fortunate". Besides banks have plenty of money.
And help us all if the Socialists get into power. We will be like Venezuela within 5 years. The United Kingdom is going down that path right now. Free health care and college. Somebody has to pay for that and when you can't everything implodes.

I'm a Libertarian, I didn't vote for Trump or Clinton and I thought they were both bad candidates. What I can tell you is myself and many people I have spoken to, who did not vote for Trump last time, will be voting for him this time.  He's more than proven he's not just another shill.  Regardless of his personality flaws the man is a damn good leader and negotiator.   If there is an armed conflict between the two tribes in America I hate to inform the lefties but they'll lose, badly.

Not sure.

The real problem as I see it is all these liberals that keep inducing riots and the likes of antifa.

They are like a spoiled child. And if SOMEONE dont beat their ass and teach them some manners,( arrest and charge them for illegal actions)  their actions are only going to get worse, until some conservatives decide they have had enough of their bullshit and blood gets spilt.

So the DOJ damn sure better get them under control and show the criminals, ( cause thats what they are ) that we are not going to tolerate their behavior.  They will be the first to cross the line of no return, alot already have. But when the conservatives finally loose patience waiting on LE to do something, they will put a stop to the nonsense themselves. You can only be pushed so far. And that line has long been crossed.

So its hard to tell WHERE and how far its going, but I doubt its going to be pretty or they are going to win.

Its just like the oregon teens that recently bought a flare pistol and tried to shoot 12 gauge rounds out of it. ( blew up in their faces  :th_thicon_idea:)
They claimed they wanted it to use during their antifa riots. Both were convicted felons and not allowed to even own a weapon. But I doubt they wanted to shoot 12 gauge shells just to scare people.
These people have been getting more and more violent since obummer & mooch. Intentionally allowed to happen by the loony left in power since they believe it helps their anti gun agenda. When the other foot drops, its not going to be a child like cure.

The scenario I see is the loony left crosses a line where they do something so illegal and off the wall that they spill alot of blood. The conservatives say enough is enough and kill a bunch of them during a riot, forcing LE to step in .

The ONLY prevention I see is for DOJ to stop messing around , use federal law, and start arresting and locking up these law breakers now.

Im no lawyer, but Ive read there are federal laws about crossing state lines to riot.
Im sure maxine waters could be charged with inciting riots, or something like that.
Sure , we know they would be screaming racism, but who cares, I dont.
george sorros has been paying/supporting these antifa idiots.

AR 15's are being bought by law abiding citizens in record numbers.
There is a reason for that. We see WHERE this might head.

We all know who owns all the  guns. They cant win. And if they had a brain in their collective heads, they damn sure dont want us fixing the problem.
Politicians are like diapers, they should be changed often, and for the same reason.

There are two kinds of people in the world my friend. Those with loaded guns, and those who dig. YOU DIG.  " Blondie".

Well, any man that wouldnt cheat at cards for a poke, dont want one bad enough. " Gus".

It is the orchestrated attack on the A1 which is parallel to the attack on A2.
