AR 15 Hand Guards
« on: March 29, 2018, 06:46:00 PM »
I have a Aero Precision AR-15 Carbine (AREO AC-15)  with the standard military type front hand guard. I received it as a X-mas gift a couple of years ago and have had it to the range 2x. I've decided to start accessorizing it a little starting with replacing the hand guard with something that has a picatinny rail that will accommodate a vertical or angled fore grip and a light/laser. My son says I should go with a M LOK system but I'm trying to keep my $$ low and I have an accessory drawer with many cast off picatiinny accessories that I can use. Something less than $100. Suggestions......

I've done the standard Magpul handguard before. They aren't too expensive

.
dang, wish I could remember the name of the one I had put on my Colt  :frown:  I also had the front A2 sight (gas block) sawed-off and filed vs replacing with a dedicated gas block

that's a vertical grip/bipod combo hanging below - along with a laser/light unit, zero'd at 15yds - the scope at 100yds

sorry, not much help but maybe some ideas

^^^ this,

Unless you just hate them, you can just add a rail to the handguards you have.
