Have to bump this thread bc it's my favorite :)

Also to add that I got my shipping label today to send the loaded in for the machine work. I'm excited. Just one decision I'm having trouble with is if I should go with 20LPI or 25LPI checkering on the front strap. My TRP has 20 and it doesn't bother me, but I also plan to shoot this one much more and to use it in my future competition career (which hasn't quite started yet). Also, the S&A magwell I installed is 20lpi so im thinking it would be nice to have it the same on the front. I'm worried that on the stainless the 20lpi cut will be sharper than on the carbon steel frame of the TRP. (the magwell is cast stainless, not cut so not a good gauge).

I have 25 on my EMP and don't mind it, very comfortable to hold for extended periods.
Just trying to make the right decision. What are your opinions?

I personally prefer 25 LPI. However, you do want the same on the front and back.

I had 25 LPI put on the back of my S&A magwell for my springer custom.

I sent it off today. I decided to go with the 20LPI. Now comes the hard part....the wait!

Heres what I asked them to do:
1. Checker FS @ 20LPI
2. High Cut FS
3. Nub Slide Stop
4. Blend Mag Well
5. Flush and Crown Barrel
6. Carry Bevel
7. Bead Blast

I'm really excited.

Yep same one. It should be set up exactly as i want it when i get it back. Considering all the parts I've already changed out to improve reliability and lock up. I hope to use it for competition once i start getting into it.

Here are my RIA's.  Nothing fancy but I like them  :th_thicon_idea:.  Top right is a 45 FS, top left is a 9mm FS, and the bottom is a 45 CSP.  Just realized I had the 45 hammer back for no reason, its not loaded :th_thicon_question:.  Anyway, I've changed out the sights on the 2 FS's myself as well as the trigger on the 45.

Where is my phaser I was promised as a kid?!

Did you change the front sights, too? Are they pinned or dovetailed? What kind of new trigger did you put in?

They are staked front sights and they were changed as well.  I bought a staking tool from Brownells along with a mounting fixture.  With those 2 things it was not very difficult.

I put a few hundred rounds downrange today with my EMP. Such an accurate gun. Especially for a 3". I love it. Probably why I carry it so often. Also put 100 through the TRP which was fun. Man i love 1911s

Hmmm, I might have to talk to you about some new sights I've been wanting...

Glad you got some rounds down range Tex. Yeah those EMP's sure do sound like some sweet little micro 1911's.

I almost bought a Baer a few weeks ago just like that one. But then the full rail popped up.

Im still looking into them, do they make the SRP without the front cocking serrations?
