Headed out to Marksman this evening to try out the new Diamondback .380 that I picked up on sale at Academy last weekend.

I did not get to shoot it that night. I took my 9 year old daughter for her first shooting experience and there were a bunch of "rednecks" in the next lane cussing and shooting big bore pistols. The muzzle blast was too much for her even with hearing protection and I must say that they had no respect for the fact that a minor was present. I did not say anything to them as I believe that an armed society should be a polite society. We just packed up and went home. One of my sons also purchased a DiamondBack 380 and he shot his that night. He reported that it performed as intended. That means that it was not a pleasure to shoot but then again, what sub compact pistol ever is. It went bang when he pulled the trigger. It seemd to be a little fussy with ammo type. He tried a box of Fiocchi 90gr. fmj and it would  FTF every other round or so. Remington ammo fed flawless for 100 rounds.

Once I can get back to the range and shoot mine, I will give a more in depth review. I like the way it feels in my hand and is very easy to conceal.
