The OFFICIAL Zombie thread!
« on: May 05, 2011, 06:55:10 PM »
ODXD reminded me that EVERY forum has to have a Zombie thread  :th_thicon_funny: :th_thicon_funny:

So, feel free to show your SHTF stuff here, your "zombie weapons"  :thumbsup1: , or anything else that would apply to such a thread!

I'm still putting together my bug out bag, I guess that would count as zombie equipment?

I do have an AK-74 and 6 mags ready to go though :D
I have a few guns.

You need to lock this thread until 2014, and then reopen it.

. . . then it'll be a zombie thread  :P

"Tactical" is a mindset, not an equipment list.

same here, my XD and AK sit in my bedroom, my Mosins chill in my computer room, the only room that doesn't have a gun in it is the living room. But my apartment is small enough I don't think it matters.  :P

Great time to start this thread.  Watching dawn of dead,   As for gear only a few glocks stashed not in safe.   Figure that will get me enuff time to get into gun room and start really taking them out.   As for what would be go to gun would go with ak, dont need to worry about cleaning really.

That's rock n roll right there.  But you forgot the twin revolvers on ankle holsters and the dual shoulder harness setup.  Then you need to add 2 single action .45s on your waist with a cross draw setup.

The only rooms in my house without a firearm are the kitchen(lots of knives) and the guest bedroom.(don't want curious visitors playing with them.

My anti Zombie setup :)

I actually have a PS90 Magazine shoulder holster that holds a total of four 50-round mags (2 on each side) - that I actually helped the vendor design. And, I have a cool PS90 tac vest that I got for free thru doing some ad work.

And my Wheel-o-Zombie Berettas  :th_thicon_idea:

So what caliber(s) do you think is the most useful for:

a) shambling (slow) zombie horde?
b) fast-moving zombies (ala 28 Days Later)?

The caliber thats closest to me would be the best.    How fast are these so called fast zombies?   Seems to be that its always head shots that drop them so seems any caliber you can shot accuractly would do best.   9mm 223 due to low recoil.

I have to dig up my thumb drive. I have some zombie sketches that I made into targets...

If you want to make your own there's a FREE program called PosteRazor that will take any graphic file and allow you to split it over several sheets of paper that you tape together to make a BIG target for down range. It's pretty easy to use, saves as a pdf and is MAC / PC compatible... home page has a video...
