If it fits, you can swap it with glass. The LEDs never get hot enough to matter on that Fusion 36 - he's got it heatsinked pretty well..

The reflectors and lens in a standard mag light are both plastic. They don't really push it hard enough to get hot.

I was just thinkin' a "cleaner" beam. Those plastic lenses yellow after a while.

You gotta get one of these small LEDs, man. It out classes the big maglights by several factors. When you first compare a maglight against one, you are blown away.

Yeah, but the Maglight 6d doubles as a bludgeon in a time of crisis...

So if you had to pick one for everyday use what would it be?. I work on cars and motorcycles. So I would be using it all the time and would prefer a rechargeable battery. What should I get?

i have a streamlight strion, its pretty good- about 70 minutes run time and it recharges in about 2 hours. real bright and the charger base is real beefy. comes with wall and car cord. you can borrow it to see if you like it, just remind me.

but its the only rechargable ive owned so i cant say its "the best". shipwreck owns n quite a few flashlights so im sure he will have a better recommendation lol

Well, the new T20C2 Mk II with the XL-M drop in is my fav. It is like $89, though. I have been carrying it everyday.

I also use an 18650 battery in it, which is a rechargable battery. I gotthe battery, the special Ultrafire charger and the new T20 all from http://www.illuminationgear.com if you are interested.

He will be restocked in a week to 3 weeks. He always sells out very fast.

Just keep watching it everyday. And, maybe even email him thru Ebay and ask when he will be restocked...

John, if you ever purchase a new flashlight with the Cree Q4 bulb trust me you will throw all your old Mag-Lites out. I saw at I think Gander Mountain the other day were now Mag-Lite has finally got on board with the new Cree bulbs, but of course Gander Mountain wanted my second born. :p
