The Official Springfield Thread!
« on: April 27, 2011, 12:12:13 PM »
Now that we have no "Groups" anymore, I thought I'd start these threads... Previously, there was a "group" for each manufacturer... One could talk about that brand and/or post pics.

Anyway, if ya got a Springfield (XD or 1911) and are proud of it, this is the place to do a yee haw or post up a pic or whatever!

Here is a Custom Shop Springfield 9mm Full Rail Operator in hard chrome I have...

I waited 11 months and actually have a separate insurance policy on this 1 gun

(it does have 25 LPI hand checkering on the front strap - I just like these grips)

An MC Operator I used to own, that got me hooked on these grips:

A Springfield XD45 I once owned:

A Springfield PDP Defender I owned previously - ONLY gun I have ever sold out of many that I wish I had kept:

Oh, almost forgot - my very first Springfield - in 1996 or 97, I bought a Milspec Springer for $425 plus tax... A stainless model.. I later had it hard chromed and modified a bit by Springfield.

Thank you thank you.  Texshooter, all Pros come with GI plugs from the factory.  How about that?   :rocknroll2:   :th_thicon_idea:

Here is a closer look of the pistol to the far right.  TGO II.

I have to admit I'm not a big fan of target sights, but figure I should give the TGOs a try.  The TGO II has the Roguard/NP3 treatment and it is an excellent finish.  It sure shoots like a dream.   :th_thicon_idea:

Maybe a double post but here's my new XD-M in 9mm.  Nice shooter and it has a lot of nice stuff with it; two mags, mag holster, OWB holster, varied back straps, and a very large case.  Also a mag loader that is not as good as a maglula.

Anyway, here's the little guy:

Shoots very well; back on target nearly right away.  Will try double taps next range trip to determine this.  Trigger a little stiff but only about 150 rounds through it so far.

Having minor buyers remorse on not getting the compact mainly due to the profile of the M in CC.
