Heard a lot of good about the P7 but never tried one myself. They aren't cheap though that's for sure.

My crew served land cannon (aka the Mk23 boat anchor) with SWR HEMS2 suppressor and above it, the 7.62 jam-o-matic (not a true HK)

Sights are no harder to put in than any other dove tail cut sights. The P7 can be bought for under $600 all day long.

I seen a few B or C grade German police trade-ins for less than that. Not sure how the grading system works. The B's and C's looked just like the A grades, at least on the outside with the same amount of holster wear.

Purchased my P7 a couple years ago, private party for $530. I think he had paid $600 a couple years prior for it.
Only downfalls was to the deal just one mag, and mags are a pain to find...And extremely expensive, IMO...
Holsters made for it are kinda hard to find, but the IWB I have adjusts to fit it.

Plenty of love, just not enough dough ;)

Obviously, I'm a huge HK fan but even I get tired of too much HK fawning (especially over at the HKPro forums where it's damn near fanatical).

The HK thread could use more lovin'!  Some pics of my P30 with resurfaced/repainted grip panels (significantly less abrasion when worn IWB).  I only modified the left and back grip panel inserts (not the right) so you can see the contrast.

Before repainting (I already sanded it down):

After repainting (using Forever Black tire gel):

I like shooting it, but its not the most comfortable to carry all the time. Thats why I but the rubber grip on it. So now instead of scratching a digging into by back, it just digs  :P
