The OFFICIAL HK Thread!
« on: April 27, 2011, 09:20:02 AM »
Now that we have no "Groups" anymore, I thought I'd start these threads... Previously, there was a "group" for each manufacturer... One could talk about that brand and/or post pics.

Anyway, if ya got a HK and are proud of it, this is the place to do a yee haw or post up a pic or whatever!

Sold both of these guys.  Didn't fit me well.  Kinda wish I hadn't sold the Tactical.

I hate all black sights - that's one thing that always stopped me from buying some of the cooler HK USP 45 variants (with the longer slides)

But, very cool pic!

Between the .45 and .40 HK USP Compacts, which would y'all prefer, and why?

Who were you directing that at? I had a 45 USPc and a 9mm USPc. Never owned a 40 anything except a PX4 Beretta in 40 cal once.

Sorry about that, just a general question to anyone. I've shot the 45 but hope to get some range time with both after work tomorrow.

I had to work on the 9mm USPc a lot to stop shooting it low. I didn't have that issue with the fullsize USP 9mm, nor did I have that issue with the USPc 45.

My crew served land cannon (aka the Mk23 boat anchor) with SWR HEMS2 suppressor and above it, the 7.62 jam-o-matic (not a true HK)

Hi

Got a USP Compact 9mm.  I like it but still shooting a lil low left.  Maybe its the sights.  Is it the sights or me?  Most likely me.

Also, does anyone CC with this?  WHat holster do you use?

I don't need to list my firearms.  Just know I have some.  ;)

I had one of these. And, I SWORE it was the sights being off. I then finally got sandbags and benched the gun. It WAS me.

It took me about 800 rounds to stop shooting low with the gun. I did make some progress every trip, so THAT was kinda cool. However, I basically had to use the first finger of my off hand to push up on the bottom of the trigger guard.

I have looked at it several times. It seems that it is VERY easy to pull the gun down as you pull the trigger. I did NOT have this issue with HK USPc45 or a fullsize USP9. So, that was weird.

As for a holster - I used a Bladetech Nano for the HK USPc45, and a Galco Matrix (they may have discontinued the model - they used to have 2 or 3 variations of that holster) for the USPc9

Now, I would recommend the Comptac Infidel IWB holster. I have two for my Berettas, and it is the only IWB holster I will use.

Thanks shipwreck for the holster recommendations.  Leaning towards a Comptac, Bladetech nano, or hybrid holster like a crossbreed.

I had a dream last night about the tactical USP. It might have been a sign. I guess I'll have to check them out at the next show.

My indoor range is dimly lit - so I hate all black sights. If those guns had come with white dot sights, that probably would have been another HK model I would have owned at some point...

Are they too difficult to change out?

You'll want a  smith to do it. An adjustable night sight rear sight is not cheap, unfortunately.
