All of the USA made fullsize 92FS that I have seen at Academy in the last month have had an M9 frame.

I saw some of those at the Reliant Gun Show. I was tempted. Had I found one with factory night sights, I probably would have bought one.

But, I figured sending 2 of my existing 92s off for night sights form tooltech is cheaper than another gun  :th_thicon_funny:

Once I get my M9A1 slide back, I will probably send off the one from my 92 compact I am carrying

After reading about the 92 compact, I ran out today and bought one from Academy as much as I hate LGS.  But they had several in stock in Tomball.  Nice looking and handling pistol and I think I'll enjoy shooting it.

Great!

Make sure to order a USA style lanyard pin and D spring from Brownells if you want to lighten the DA trigger by about 3 lbs, and the SA pull by 1 lb. The italian models have a roll pin holding that lanyard loop in place. Ya really gotta knock the hell out of it with a 3/32" punch to knock it out. WHen you replace it with the easy "push out" USA style pin - you never have to deal with that again.

Brownells is backordered on the D springs, but you can still order them. They'll restock eventually. I'm waiting on 3 more extras right now myself...

Yup.  IT was not as difficult as I first thought.  In fact, I had called Brownells a few weeks back to se what was up as they were still backordered.  At that time they said they expected them in AUGUST

So I ordered three 92 slide springs and thought I could make it work.  I found that with a little modified bend on the spring(the PX-4 has a right angle bend perpendicular to the spring rotation) and cut the end to fit, then a little torque on the spring to make it a little tighter and voila!  A get by till the right one arrived. I took it to the range and shot 100 rounds with no issues.

So what happend on Tuesday?  I got notice of shipment of the PX-4 springs :icon_wink:

They arrived Thursday and I installed one yesterday.  I'll go to the range today and do a little shooting.  :th_thicon_idea:

I'm debating waiting for the Inox Px4, or just getting another one and having the slide done to look like it. I hate waiting. Lol.
