I have a 9mm 239.

The MUCH better half has the Rainbow 238 (probably to make sure I NEVER carry it).

I do have a little poket holster I picked up for her.  I've put it in my pocket to show her how it's used.  VERY concealable little mousegun.  But we needed something small for her given her tiny hands and lack of hand strength.  She can fire the 239 just fine, but can't rack the slide.  We rented several handguns and the 238 was the only one we could find that she could comfortably operate.  So we started looking and once she saw the Rainbow she HAD to have THAT model.  She used it to qualify for her CHL and does fine with it.

Those of you thinking about buying a sig remember this!!!

DO NOT GET A STAINLESS OR BI TONE!!!!! FOR THE LOVE OF GOD!!! Unless you like your 3 month old gun to rust if you don't wipe it with oil EVERY 3 DAYS.

I'm going on a trip and I'm going to submerge the whole slide in ATF fluid while I'm out of the country. Otherwise I'm afraid of what will happen to it.

It sucks when you are already looking for a good refinish on a 3 month old gun. Looks like robar np3 is the ticket. The stuff sig coated in the nitron or whatever that black tenifer stuff is rocks, it's just like a glock and has no issues whatsoever. But my stainless slide sucks ass.

It is by far the sweetest shootin gun I own but what the hell? Isn't this gun made for the seals who dunk their guns in saltwater?

serious?  really?  i thought stainless lasts longer and better than the nitron stuff.  well... i guess my "wish" for the p220 match elite will have to take a different turn, cause it's in stainless.

can you post a pic of the "rusted" area on your sig?  thanks.

My latest two.

Sig P229 SCT - Truglo TFO sights, 4 17 round mags.  Installed a nickel short trigger and SRT kit.  Polished some parts.

Sig P220 w/ laser grips that I got for cheap.  Replaced the laser grips with the slim profile grips which are much better.  Still trying to sell the laser grips.   I had no need for another .45 but I had to get it.  It's my "Neil Mcauly" gun.  Robert Deniros character in the movie Heat.

P245.  Only Sig I didn't like to shoot since my pinky hung off the end and .45 kicked like hell in that size frame.

P220ST.  Awesome pistol.  Sold cause it was too heavy to carry and .45 was expensive.  Since replaced with an alloy 220.

P228 HiViz.  Sold when I switched jobs and went broke for a while.  Still miss it.  Need to replace it but man these are elusive now and go for premium.

No pics of the two tone Sig 229 in .357 Sig.  That one was great too but way too expensive on ammo for a starter gun.

Everyday carry. Almost gave her up today and decided against it after I fired her a few mags full of double tap 115 gr 357 Sig. What a beast.

I want the polished grey VZ g10 grips, a 9mm conversation barrel, adjustable meprolights, and a robar np3 plus finish.

It still needs a baby brother like a p239.

Well here's my meager contribution: a 9mm P220 with the "Euro" magazine release at the heel.

Funny...that P220 9mm says "Montage Suisse" on the slide, but the nimrods at the importing company put "Made in Germany" on the dust cover! LOL

My Swiss P225 has similar markings.

My other two SIGs are a 1991 P228 9mm and a 1977 Browning BDA 45.

Great guns....the early SIGs were some of the best d/a s/a pistols ever made, if you ask me.

My very first Sig was a P229 .40 cal years ago and i ended up selling it out of necessity. My next Sig was this P229R .40 DAK model....

Ended up selling it because i didnt like that it didnt have the de-cocker. My next Sig was another P229R 9mm....

Sold it because i bought a Colt Defender for daily carry. Bought a Sig P239 9mm for my girlfriend to carry....

She still daily carries the P239 and today i traded the Colt Defender for this beautiful P229 9mm Equinox Elite......

Cant wait to shoot this thing, hopefully tomorrow!  :th_thicon_idea:

Any real world experience with the new P290 9mm yet?  Sure would like to hear from anyone who has popped a few caps with one.

None with a p290, but i have shot a p250c 9mm and it wasn't a very good experience to say the least. The trigger felt like crap and it just felt cheap overall. Sig should not have made polymer frame pistols, lets just leave it at that, lol.
