Replacing my Nikon P-223 scope
« on: February 12, 2014, 04:28:07 PM »
Im looking at replacing my Nikon P-223 (1x) scope with one that can zoom out

I have found scopes that are 4x, 6x & 9x...which would be best for a AR-15 when hunting small game between 200 & 300 yards

I want to get an up close look at the target to make sure I hit it in the right area  (head & not the ass end)  and a 1x will not work

Will depend on your eyes mostly, but I would personally go 16x or more for 200-300 yard small game.

The 16x's were out of my price range, so will check out the 9 & 10x scopes
