Weapon light?
« on: April 23, 2011, 08:23:22 PM »
I am thinking of getting a weapon light for my railed gun.  What are your suggestions?  I probably won't be buying a surefire due to the cost.  Anything that is bright enough and not too expensive?

I'm a lumen hog. Unless it was for a subcompact, I'd get the newest version of the TRL1  :light1:

I am looking at the TLR1 with c4 LED for the TRP operator I just got.

But I have seen pic of the TLR3 that fits nicely on a champion operator and not protrude past the barrel.

Hmm...decision decision...

I'd go with the TLR-1S (with strobe) for two reasons:

1) strobe feature (you might even get lucky enough to put an attacker into an epileptic seizure)  :scream3:
2) 160 lumens is bright enough to temporarily blind someone (up to 10 seconds?)

The TLR-3's 90 lumens may not be quite enough to temporarily blind (but I'm no expert).
