Yes, pepper spray him.
Kid needs some help.
His mother needs to wake up and stop defending him.
Some day he is going to end up much worse if she doesn't.

imo deserved it. i remember the beatings i got as a child for acting out and misbehaving. she needs to start punishing him, along with getting him some counseling while he is still young and under her influence. its a shame society today thinks that other people should handle the punishment of their children. mark of a lazy parent, and probally why i wont be having my own children. they are alright, but not for me. i fear that i would not be involved enough.

From what I can find out from up here, the PD had the choice of beating the stuffing out of him or using the spray. I bet most agree the spray was a good choice.

I'll agree that it is really sad that so many parents expect schools and the PD to handle discipline for their children. I'm seriously coming to the conclusion that if you see a child behaving like a REAL brat in the mall, it is time for a spanking - - starting with the parent. If spanking the parent doesn't handle it, then progress to the child.
- - I'll bet that would only happen once or twice.

Had a funny one yesterday. I was in WallyWorld and there was one kid yelling and whining loudly enough that you could hear him across the entire store. It was about five minutes into my stay at the store when I happened across mama and the brat. Turns out he was the youngest of three kids and I'd guess about age four. As I walked by I said "Gee mama, we REALLY want a spanking and we will continue to whine until we get one." Mama tensed a bit but said nothing. I just walked on by. Within ten seconds the kid was quiet and you did - not - hear him the rest of the time I was in the store.
I think she took the "hint".  :wave1:
