Thing about those retarded wings aka spoilers is all the cars you see them on could not go fast enough to reap the benefits of it unless they were in a tornado heading down hill.

Also the  owners shop for mufflers with folgers cans for size comparison.

if i'd drove around with an exhaust that sounded like
a hay truck without a muffler like a lot of folks do
these days, or a car stereo that blared out as loud
as they do, i'd have been pulled over and cited back then.

the really bad part is that none of it sounds good, it's just
noise for the sake of noise  :thumbsdown:

There are *some* legit spoilers on production "stock cars", but those are typically designed by aerodynamicist who have the NASCAR or other circuit races in-mind. But those stock cars have governors removed, race-rated tires and a few other tweaks to get to where they can actually use the spoiler / wings effect. 
But for the other 99.9999% of those cars that are licensed in the US, this picture is probably the most useful application of the air effects.
