What Is The Best Polymer Pistol?
« on: March 30, 2019, 07:05:58 PM »
So what is the best polymer pistol?

No one can argue with the merits of the polymer pistol and why they are so popular to shoot and to carry. Lightweight, great capacity, reasonably affordable, decently accurate, and for the most part, well made, and also in many ways, almost maintenance free.

So what is the best polymer pistol? Hard question! I think they all have their pros and cons. And many people do buy certain brands of polymer pistols because of brand loyalty. Some simply buy a certain brand, based on price. some, even buy into the hype of advertising and buy that brand.

But for the most part, when it comes to polymer pistols, I don't think one brand has any real huge advantages over the other brands that I can see personally. I have shot many different brands of polymer pistols over the years, starting way, way back when the Glocks first came to the United States. Not the first polymer pistol, but really was one of the first really commercially successful polymer pistols to hit the market, and is still very, very popular today.

For myself, I have been more, or less loyal to the Springfield Armory line of polymer pistols as those are the ones I have owned and shot the most of over the years. I really like the ergonomics of the XD line and they work well for my needs.

So what is your vote for the best polymer pistol and why? And just to clarify things, there are no wrong or right answers to these questions!  :wave1: :rocknroll2:

There is no "best." Just everyone's favorite.

I have owned them all. HK is my favorite polymer handgun brand. But, I like DA/SA.

Shipwreck, that is pretty much my same opinion as well. "Best" is pretty much a very subjective term when talking about most polymer pistols currently on the market. Seriously doubt a person can make a really bad choice in most that are currently available. I think it comes down to ergonomics and features as to which is the "best" for a particular person.
