Hello from Central Texas
« on: July 19, 2018, 11:15:16 AM »
Greetings to all!

New to this forum but not to Tx or to guns!  I saw a link on Shipwreck's post elsewhere that alerted me to this place.    Looking forward to hanging out here and joining in the conversation.

I'm in the Temple/Killeen area, an active reloader, shooter, fisherman, hunter.

Best,
flechero

Thanks guys!

Was a bowhunting fool for about 20 years until my first shoulder surgery...  most of those years into traditional.  Still shoot a little bit of light weight stuff, mostly with my son.  Can't get sufficient weight back to hunt comfortably.

Now I live vicariously through other bowhunters! (so I'll be looking for hunt stories and pics beginning about 10/2   :th_thicon_idea:

Hey bro, I had them same problem. The draw made all kinds of crunching noises and then once I did get it back, I couldn't get enough let off to hold it still.
I discovered the crossbow. At that time, it was only allowed for disabled hunters. So I went to my doc, he signed the papers, and I went and got a crossbow.  I know it's not the same, but it got me back into the woods with my boys during archery season. It was better than nothing. The drawing mechanics allow for both arms and a foot. :) That I could do.

Good luck!
