Welcome aboard, Tex. For starters, get used to this racket because you'll hear it or something like it everywhere you go from now on.

Watch your step coming in pilgrim, 'cuz the spent 'freedom" cases are a slip/trip/fall hazard. There's pecan pralines, and 10 gallon hats on the left, and novelty lone star items, Big Red, and Diary Queen on the right.

If you ever head out into the deep countryside and happen to see a bunch of A380's in the air that buzz instead of fly, break out the "Off!" Flak-88 cannons because those'll actually be the "Texas-sized mosquito" welcoming committee coming to see what Californian tastes like.

Lastly, start workin' on your lean or you'll stick out like a sore thumb in a group; you can always spot the new arrivals by the fact that they stand around instead of leanin' on something. And the fact that they e-nun-ciate everything.

Somebody should be along shortly to help you get measured for your first over-sized belt buckle; as for me, I'm late to my appointment with a lasso salesman. I'll see you 'round.

Oh yeah, I almost forgot: there's a member here that goes by the name of 'Gilgondorin'. You've gotta watch out for him because he's enough of a smartass even the locals don't know what to make of him half the time. :th_thicon_lol:

Welcome from the Waco area.

Have you ever looked around at the group of people you are in and thought, "If the Zombie Apocalypse happens right now, this is what I have to work with."?

Was it a state or federal charge?

Lived in San Joaquin county and actually have a CCW in CA.  Moved to Texas on Monday.  Wife has been here for a month or so.  Love the Austin area.  Looking to turn it a bit more right.  Coming over from CalGuns.net (different username).  How y'all doing?   :P

Welcome to Texas and as a former California resident I was so happy to finally come to Texas. I left San Mateo in 2003 and came to Houston and never returned. SO many freedoms here which I cannot give up.

I escaped the PRC in 2010, I have only gone back for a couple of funerals, in and out real quick, don't want to spend any money there to support the commies. Best you get the Commiefornia plates off of your vehicle asap. Great place to live.
