Is the owner of this cache an amateur or a sophisticated gun collector?

.
I'd say "a caught druggie" :

(an "Officer" ?  I'm thinking not, just incorrect reporting)

I think he is a deranged man with twisted ideals. Although I do  kinda like his choice list.

When someone starts from nothing a year ago and starts amassing weapons like that, its probably a red flag.
But what really grabs my attention is the body armor and EXTRA body armor chicken plates.

That just NOT something 2A lovers/ "gun collectors" I know even have.

Fortunately, he tipped his hand emailing, running his mouth, and someone was watching. :th_thicon_idea:
ANY of these nut cases, regardless of WHO they hate, hurts  all law abiding peaceful firearm owners in the end.
IF the stories and released information are true, Im glad they got him.

But right there is the real problem. The damn media telling the truth,

I remember a couple years ago they were ALL going off the deep end on a story about atf nailing a guy in Arizona. They whole story was drama drama drama.
They were in just total disbelief this supposed bad guy had 50. calibers,,, " OMG,, THATS WHAT YOU SHOOT AIRPLANES DOWN WITH".  ( thieir words)

They were muzzle loaders.

just me-
looks like the average accumulation of firearms of
most everyone i know that has any.
the AR's would be the exception. not everyone i know
has some.

it's always funny to me (not ha-ha funny) that when the
media and the laws show one of these "arsenals" that
there's always several .22 rifles laid out with the other stuff. :bangheadonwall:

15 firearms and only a thousand rounds of ammo? No explosives? Definitely an amateur. I am sure that many of us here have that many rounds per firearm. Hell one thousand rounds is just a decent day at the range.

He is an amateur collector, if that was his reason for the guns. A moderate to sophisticated collector should have historical to modern rifles and pistols from several different countries.

I donít think he bought guns for a collection.

I agree with ArmedTexan - he didn't buy all that stuff to start a gun collection.  Heck I have at least 2,000 rounds of .22 LR; luckily for us here in Texas we're allowed to exercise our 2nd Amendment Rights without the restrictions that states like Maryland has.

His drug charges are probably going to be federal; some of his gun related charges will be State charges while others (illegal drug use and probably an addiction to Tramadol) will be federal.  Anyone remember the question on the 4473?

Are you an unlawful user of, or addicted to, marijuana or any depressant, stimulant, narcotic drug, or any other controlled substance?  Warning: The use or possession of marijuana remains unlawful under Federal law regardless of whether it has been legalized or decriminalized for medicinal or recreational purposes in the state where you reside.

Although I believe in the "innocent until proven guilty" I suspect that between The Coast Guard Investigative Service (CGIS) and the FBI they took a very bad actor off of the "street" before he could cause any bad thing to happen.

Since the media is trying to paint this person into a bad actor (which in my opinion he is) they are trying to downplay the actions of Jussie Smollett for his apparent racially motivated false crime.  Both have broken laws that could have dire consequences and each should be dealt with separately and not tried together in the court of public opinion....

What about the famous instructors out there? I think I remember Mas Ayoob saying he most often carries a scandium j frame. Wonder about the others?
