Introduce Yourself / Re: Hey y'all!

Hey from Plano.

2

It is Houston where exactly is this “good part of town” of which you speak.

River Oaks?

Kermit TX?
Does Houston still have the (virtual) no zoning laws?

3
It’s a pretty poor ripoff of John Wick, relabeled “Donald Wick”. Here is the link to a 2 year old video.

This is the video the left wing news outlets are concerned about.

Boomer and I liked it, but the pumpkin sniper scene (Barrett M82 .5 shooting 3 - 12” pumpkins at 1 mile in 3 shots with a 1.3 MOA rifle) isn’t realistic.

I agreed with your BBC statement until a couple of months ago, when many of their US-based political coverage started looking like re-writes of CNN stories.

IF we Texans dont want to become CA2.0 ...

...Hope we have enough true Texans and real Americans here to stave off the onslaught.

I’m m technically an Okie (arguably the most conservative state in the nation), but been voting in Texas since 1974. Is that close enough?

Finger Guns are REAL!
Doesn’t anyone here remember the 1965 “Sixfinger“ covert ballistic device?
A nationwide conspiracy has been averted!

California always was it's own worst enemy

actually, IMHO, that's not the case - starting in the '60s 'twas the carpetbaggers and feather merchants who brought their screwed up, liberal ideology from other States across the Country and turned a wonderful State into the festering hellhole it is today

There’s a good article in Investor’s Business Daily that qualifies the +’s and -‘s in Kalifornia:  Silicon Valley and digital media are keeping the state alive... until the next recession.  Then a drop in revenues is going to put the world of hurt on the state:

We all get pissed off at one time or another, and we've all likely had at least a minor contest / race to a parking spot with another driver.

But even pulling a gun over (just) a parking space, is a really really really bad idea.

Shield nailed it.

I was honored once to view the NRO musuem in Chantilly, VA, while I worked in the Pentagon.  I only lived 5 miles from their main offices and was invited to a "non-classified" area for a promotion ceremony for someone I used to work for.  If you get the chance, it's really interesting to see what they de-classified for the displays.  Never had a clue on some of it.

I would have loved to have gone to the NRO exhibit.  Oh well...

The National Cryptographic Museum @ NSA in Ft. Meade Maryland is open to the public, and is pretty cool.
Before the CIA museum, they had little artifacts sprinkled around their HQ building, sometimes in the hallways. I walked by 1 display and saw the handwritten letter from Stalin’s daughter to the US State Dept requesting political asylum.  She was an articulate lady.

But, one of the best, but least known museums is the US Postal Museum downtown near/ across from the FBI HQ.

3 or so of the 7 or so pistols that have been laying around, uncleaned, are my Wife's.....yesterday she "sorta-suggested" that I do something about that "problem"

so I managed to "do" 3 of hers, as cursory a cleaning as it was

still have 4 or 5 to do (I just hate cleaning guns)

Tango, Teacher her to clean her own guns !!!

Yea, right. Let us know how that goes.

He's lucky he didn't get his nuts kicked through his ass.
I prefer to let Boomer deal with any Roos pesky to me, from about 600 yards...  :)  :D  :)

Plus 1 on the Tacoma. Great truck, after 10 years, mine had 160k with no problems. ( Just bought a new one). Just change the oil regularly and put gas in it. It will run forever.
the  Downside is that used ones often cost more than the competition :icon_wink:
Randy
But he bought a Nissan Frontier.
Hope its a good one.

My son had a Frontier, GREAT truck.

A foreign president, probably.  :)

The international spy museum is pretty cool and about $20 to get in.

Here’s an interesting article on the CIA museum in VA.

Whatever I do, it will be legal, moral and non-fattening.

I’ll agree for me on the first two but respectfully disagree on the non-fattening part. :)
(I’ve lost 10 lbs since starting the new gig and I need the fat)

Growing up in Mississippi, just about every pick-up had a gun rack with 1 or 2 long guns or shotguns resting on them. Those pick-ups were seldom locked and all summer the windows were wide open. I don't remember a single gun being stolen, although some went missing for a day or two during dove or deer season :rocknroll2:

Same thing in Lubbock in the 70’s.

Pick 1:

Be Prepared.

Pray for peace but prepare for war.

Hope for the best.  Plan for the worst.

I think we're all in line on this forum.
