Man, about 1x a year - I get hit with a purchase on one of my credit cards that I didn't make. Sometimes, it's even on a credit card that is locked up and I don't even carry or use...

Today, I got an email about a $149.50 purchase I just made at Lord and Taylor. I thought maybe the email was fake, so I went to my credit card website and logged in. Sure enough, it's there.

I called to dispute it, and I will get a new card sent to me with a new number...

Wasn't me buying anything at Lord and Taylor :P

However - they like me a lot this year, it seems. Just 2 months ago, I had a $7 purchase on another card that I didn't make - a donation to starving kids in Africa (that was a weird fraud charge).

This gets so annoying.

As I just commented on another thread....

Please calm down everyone. I stayed out of recent conversations, hoping you guys would work it out yourself. But this is spilling over into multiple threads...

I gave WAY more leeway than any other gun forum would give... But, I've had to lock 2 other threads today. We're not going to have personal attacks on the forum. I've also been very lenient on some of the language recently, despite the forum rules. But c'mon guys... We're all adults here!

Let's all take a step back and wind it down. Wait a day or two and let this pass over. Okay?

Welcome aboard! I am not that far from you. Glad to have ya here.

Very cool on that Walther P88. I passed up one on consignment several years ago, and I have regretted it since.

I agree - I'd never buy it. But, it is a crazy design. If it could have more than 1 shot, it would be more interesting

Texas clerk dodges bullet, fatally shoots robbery suspect trying to pass counterfeit bill

The man, who has not been identified by authorities, allegedly tried to use a counterfeit $20 to make a purchase, but the clerk told him he could not accept the bill, KTRK reported.

Police said the robbery suspect then made his way into the clerk’s secured area, pulled out a gun and fired at him at least once within close range, narrowly missing him.

The clerk then pulled out a gun of his own and fired at the man, striking him multiple times.

I see what you are saying. The Buds link and video say 22LR. But the company website had WMR on the description. So, who the hell knows... That is why I typed WMR

Wow... Just wow

Minneapolis council members calling to defund police spend $63G on private security details after receiving death threats

Just sold!!!!  :rocknroll2:

Everything I own is digitized. I don't even have any CDs any more. So, as it was sitting in a drawer the last 3 years - I figured I may as well sell it while someone still could use it. In another 10 years, NO ONE might want it... Technology ages...

Check out YouTube videos. You could probably spend an entire day viewing videos about hidden storage ideas!

Sho nuff!

THere are companies that make all sorts of tables and mantles and other stuff that can hold guns

FS in Bryan/College Station area - Panasonic Books Shelf Stereo - 5 disc changer, FM/AM, cassette and remote control

Yes, this is old tech. Remember these?

I had it stored under my tv in an entertainment unit for years. But, the entertainment unit had glass doors, so it never got dusty. I really only ever used it to play 5 CDs worth of Christmas music every Christmas day. So, it's really like new!

I have several friends/neighbors who have something like this in their garage. They play music/radio all day while they are outside doing stuff. This would be perfect for that! Or, you can keep it indoors.

Comes with 5 disc changer, equalizer, casette player and FM/AM. Also has FM and AM antennae that attach to the back. The speakers are separate, so you don't have to keep the entire unit as pictured. You could move the speakers away from the main unit.

Honestly, this think is pretty much "like new." Welcome to the time machine :)

$50 local sale. Or, make me a deal!

Handguns and Revolvers / Re: The OFFICIAL Beretta Thread!
« on: June 26, 2020, 01:45:58 PM »
A while back I bought the front sight that someone took off their WC BrigTac. I finally put it onto my Billie after I got comfortable after doing it a few times. Took an empty soda can outside & put it on the ground on its side. Went back about 10 yards and hit it about a half dozen times to make sure I centered the sight correctly.  :th_thicon_idea:

Before I ever bought the gun I found a spare set of the carbon fiber grips that already had the sticky stuff rubbed off, so I put them on when I got the gun to protect the original grips. A while back I swapped in an NP3 coated barrel to protect the original from wear. I changed the hammer spring to I think a 12# from WC. I modded a set of Hogue grip panels to work with the grip safeties. They feel great, but I still love the look of the original grips. The smooth CF is slippery, but the front & back straps have the best checkering of any Beretta I’ve held.

Very cool. I wish I could get a Billie, but their price is just ridiculous. They jumped up in the last 6 or 7 years...
