Politics, Gripes, Complaints / Re: Are we being told the Truth?

Simple answer is NO! This virus thing sounded sketchy from the start! Even my parents are beginning to think this is a great world wide conspiracy! They are far from a conspiracy theorist!

Iím worried that ill prepared people, the lower class, and intercity people might start a riot or begin looting houses.

Iíve lived in Texas my entire life. I wouldnít and I donít expect anything different from Texas weather. I like it. These are the weeks in the year I can wear something from each season every other day.

I paid 2.05 a gal at HEB yesterday for regular unleaded, I get around 28-33 mpg.

I remember once my grandfather bought my grandmother a new Oldsmobile and because it was such a ďfineĒ car he only filled her up with premium. Less than a year later it was in the shop and the mechanics didnít know whatís wrong with her until they asked him what type of gas he filled the car with. He told them premium and they said not to fill it up with anything but regular unleaded. After that the car drove great, grandma had that car for over 10+ years.

Haven't tried it and won't as I don't like Burger King .

Nothing really made me go ďwow I want that one!Ē

I guess I could move 10 miles north... God knows Harris county would love to take my guns.

General Gun Discussion / Re: Back Up Gun (BUG)
« on: November 12, 2019, 10:20:25 PM »
My back up gun isnít really a back up gun. I carry almost everywhere (canít at work), but I keep a gun in the car that I can easily get to if needed, even if Iím buckled in.

Matter of fact, I almost used it last week... I was at the duo-drive through Bank of America ATM in Tomball with my 15 year old daughter when the driver of the car at the neighboring ATM asked me for a pen, just then the passenger door opened and a car parked behind me playing music loudly. I couldnít see much of the passenger (looked like a 18-19 year old male) and I wasnít sure if the car behind me was with them, but I quickly grabbed my side/back up gun. Luckily nothing happened. I told the lady that I didnít have a pen and the passenger male shut the door. But my daughter was impressed she didnít know why I was pulling the gun out but after the incident we talked. She did realize that there was some messed up stuff happening and I explained why itís important to always be alert and prepared. My daughter now understands why I carry a gun daily.

I really like Colion Noir, fellow Texan from Houston but now lives in Dallas, gun rights activists and has some great arguments for the need of arms for every American. He is definitely not what the left would like or want... he is a young educated armed black man from the south.

I donít mean to sound like a troll but I never understood why someone would need a red dot sight on a handgun...  I train with iron sights, to me an upgrade are night sights. If I need to shoot at a target 25 yards or more, I wouldnít use the handgun. But thatís just me.

It's the liberal teachers and their unions that have turned American youth into whiney, snowflake social justice warriors that feel that socialism is their future panacea.

QFT Randy. Those liberal teachers have them for 12 years, and more if they attend college.

Not if they have me as their teacher. There are more conservatives in education than everyone thinks, education isnít completely dominated by liberals. But they are the majority still.

Hate to sound un-American but I really like the .303 for a rifle, and for a pistol I like shooting the 9mm but .40 has been growing on me more and more the last 2-3 years.

Introduce Yourself / Re: Hey y'all!
« on: October 17, 2019, 10:30:02 PM »
Welcome! Iíve been to that gun range out by the Brazos River in between Fulshear and Simonton. My folks live out in Fulshear.

Leigh John is one of my best friends. I'm there most weekends unless I have a fly rod in my hand somewhere. If you come across a big fellow (6'6", 285#) driving a green F350 with Ranch Hand bumpers helping out there, introduce yourself. That's not a Texas Yeti, it's me.

Awesome Iím usually out there around the holidays like thanksgiving weekend or around Christmas

We need a picture with a woman holding a sign outside of a gun show saying ďnot homeless husband in gun show for 2+hours please helpĒ because if Iíve been at a gun show for more than 2 hours Iíve either found something I like and I am trying to haggle the price down or I just made it a Visa Platinum day and Iím acting like a kid in a candy store.
