I got my Kel-Tec shotgun off of GunBroker and I paid $1725 with no sales tax - You can see pictures and read about the GunBroker deal here:  I heard at the NCA Annual in Houston that they were now producing 600 per week and my LGS just got 6 in that he had ordered months ago....actually forgot about it! They just showed up.  He still has them and is asking $1595.  I just received it on Tuesday through my FFL.  Installed some good iron sights and a  LaserLyte CM-15 Kryptonyte Center Mass - LaserLyte CM-15 Kryptonyte Center Mass which I bought at the LGS.  It really looks cool and I hope to test her out this weekend.  I will keep you posted.

Here is another WELCOME from Houston!  If you are involved with computers, Austin is the place.  It is the Silicon Valley and perhaps some!

Rifles & Shotguns / Re: Got a spare $8000?

Here is a good review of the HK416 and the MR556A1.  The MSRP is quite expensive and I don't think they are worth anything like $8,000.

I have just acquired two new bullpups (Kel-Tec RFB 308 in FDE and Kel-Tec KSG OD Green 12GA Dual Tube Shotgun) to add to my first two FNs (PS90 and FS-2000).  I will post pictures soon as the two Kel-Tecs are still in the box and I am very anxious to test them out.  I have loved my PS90 and the FS-2000 which I have owned for about two year.  The FN 5.7 x 28 mm is a hot load and lots of fun to shoot.  I also have the FN FiveseveN pistol and fortunately I have plenty of ammo is it is VERY hard to find!

Hi,  I am a new member but not new to Texas.  I came to Texas originally in 1963 for my first assignment in the US Army at Fort Sam Houston, San Antonio (Medical Officer's Basic) and then move up to my assignment at Ft. Hood, Texas (1st Armored Division) where I soon became the Director of Marksmanship in the AMU for the 1st Armored Division. It was the best assignment I could have as my lifelong interest in competitive shooting was now my full time job and I got to run the competitive programs for the Division, picking the best for the Divisioin Team.  I also shot on the division rifle team but was in charge of the Pistol Team as well.

Enough about that period of my life.  Have lived in Houston since 1974 after assignments with Exxon Chemical to Andrews, Texas and Tyler, Texas.  Retired from Exxon Chemical in 1996 after 31 years.  My interests in shooting are still very strong but not on competive teams,  I shoot for the pure pleasure on the great rantes of Bayou Rifles where I got my NRA Range Safety Officer Certificate.  I also have my CCL license and have a fun collection of military rifles and more recently, pistols!  I am a big fan of FN rifles and pistols and own the SCAR 16, SCAR 17, P-90, FS 2000, a FNAR and a FiveseveN pistol.

It is my pleasure to have found this forum and to begin a fun relationship with fellow TEXANS,

Cheers,  RAT in Houston,  Peter
