Hope you had a great birthday Tango, and your best year yet!

Sorry Ocho, I don't have a spare or I would be happy to help.

3
I had my fair share of spankings, from hands, belts, boards, and switches.
Spent some time standing in corners, doing extra chores, and grounded as well.
Took a while, but seems to have worked.

Off Topic Discussion (NON FIREARM RELATED) / Re: Star Wars Solo movie

I saw it, and thought it was pretty good. Far better than "The Last Jedi" social justice warrior flick.

Bersa Thunder 380, as it was my only gun. Think I had 2 points down.
For the LTC Instructor qualification I have used my M&P Pro 9 5" and 8" Nickle Colt Python and shot perfect scores.

I had two nice conversations with people while I was open carrying at the barber shop today.
A husband and wife who have their LTCs and were curious about open carry, over the normal concerns, and a guy who recently moved to Texas from North Dakota and wanted to know how to get his LTC.
Invited them to come out and shoot some IDPA/USPSA to get more comfortable with defensive/dynamic shooting.
Is that the first time you have been approached with positive inquiries while you OC? Any negative remarks? Just curious. Don't OC myself but respect the practice.

I've been approached around 20 times, and every encounter was pleasant. Most have been a simple "are you a cop?" leading to an explanation of why I prefer to provide my own defense of self and family, with many turning to "how do you get a license to carry?" and detailed explanation provided.

Some have been thanks for carrying, or questions about what I am carrying and if it would be good for them or their spouse.

Even been given free stuff at two different restaurants as a thanks for carrying.

Okay, well, now I'm on the fence about .45's and can't decide what to get.

I wanna stick with the RIA 51567, which is a 14+1... However, I just recently found out about the Remington 96491, which is rumored to be a 15+1, and more importantly, is essentially the same price as the RIA offering.

The extra round really doesn't mean much to me in the end; what I'm more concerned about is the quality of each firearm. I've never bought RIA before; I only know they are geared more toward making ultra budget 1911's. However, although the R1 might be a nicer overall quality pistol, didn't Remington somewhat recently keel over? I imagine that would make it impossible to get any warranty work done (should I need it), right?

Go with the Rock, they are very nice for budget 1911's, and available cheaper such as:

The MPX is heavy anyways, so if it was the Tacops with faux suppressor I would expect it to be even worse.
The MPX carbine shoots extremely flat though, which is something I dig about it.

My Vector w/16" faux suppressor weighs less.

Bring it to Shiloh for a match some time, I'd love to see/try it.

A pistol caliber carbine, though it might be a pistol setup with short barrel and arm brace to start out.
Most likely the Sig MPX Tacops (http://www.lipseys.com/itemdetail.aspx?itemno=SIMPXK9KMTACPSB)

Just fondled one this morning and it was listed at 1809 or 1899 at the gun show.  Its freaking heavy for what it is.

Springfield Loaded Tactical SS/Black

Well I'm no grand parent yet, but from my experience they seem to love getting the noisiest, most annoying, toys possible.
My mom has taken great joy in gifting my boys with all sorts of police car or fire truck vehicles that have annoyingly loud sirens and no volume adjustment.

(Dom, I expect all of your's touch the X)

Nah, I prefer to spread the leaks out a bit. (That's my story and I'm sticking with it) ;)

Still using Texas Law Shield, and for $15/month I would be satisfied if they only handled bail and grand jury/arraignment.
Knowing that they cover a whole lot more than that, along with the educational opportunities they provide (I have attended their classes on gun shot wound care and active shooter situations), leaves me easily satisfied with the tiny cost.
