PS90 would be better - 5.7x28mm was designed to not over penetrate hard targets

I like my PS90 but think 5.56 is the better home defense round. It's light and fast so it'll stop faster than heavier rounds, but it still has a lot of energy to impart on the target.

Just about any round capable of reaching a humans vitals is also capable of going through drywall. Worry less about shooting through drywall and worry more about hitting your target quickly and effectively.

As others pointed out.

Personally,  I wouldnt buy either if it's over penetration your worried about.

A  4.10 with snake shot or disk shot sounds like a better option with all the ammo now available in that caliber.  It's much slower projectiles, will still easily peneyrate a body with plenty of stopping power,  but big and fat so it stops alot faster when it hits something.

Snake shot will not penetrate more than a few inches of ballistic gel. It's a terrible round for self defense. This advise is a good way to get someone killed.

But, since anecdotes are not data, here's like an actual study on why handguns suck and you should carry as much ammo as you can and be as accurate as possible.

The last kel-tec I owned was a PF-9 and the trigger on that was terrible. DAO, long and heavy with a false reset. I hope the P-11 is better but I'll stick with my G19.

What do you think of the 507c? I ordered it because it fits in RMR cut slides and it had generally positive reviews and a great price.

Red dots make you faster and more accurate while maintaining better situational awareness. See the study linked here:

Any of you guys have a red dot on a handgun? I talked about how I just bought a P80 lower in another thread and then I found a Holosun 507c on sale so I bought that. Wondering if any of you have any experience with similar optics!

*SOLD*

Hi all,

For sale is my Finnish M39 Mosin-Nagant from the Sako armory. It is built on a 1910 receiver from the Izhevsk arsenal.

I'm asking $600 or best offer, willing to ship to your FFL if they're willing to accept from an individual. FTF available within a reasonable drive of the Dallas Ft. Worth metroplex.

I'm willing to take more pictures for a serious buyer, just let me know.

Thanks for looking!

Handguns and Revolvers / They say its Glocktober...
« on: October 27, 2019, 07:32:31 PM »
I've kinda been toying around the idea of building a polymer 80 glock lower for a while thinking I'd make it into a race gun for 3-Gun or something. Well, its "Glocktober" and I found a polymer 80 lower on sale for only 75 bucks... and bought it.

It's kinda a weird one though. It has a Glock 19 length grip but a Glock 17 length frame, so you finish it with G17 parts. Which got me thinking...

Did you know the G34 (the long slide 9mm) is also built on a G17 frame? Soooooo I'm really tempted to build it out into a G34... but with a G19 sized grip.   :th_thicon_lol: :th_thicon_lol: :th_thicon_lol:

Anyway hi how are you guys?

He's a New York liberal. He wrote about his support of gun bans in one of his books. The NRA should never have endorsed him.

I'm honestly not sure why anyone ever thought he was pro 2A other than wishful thinking.

I recently discovered Sabaton. They are pretty great. Metal bags that sings about history.

For example, this is about Audie Murphy:

Also, they have a history channel where they talk about the songs and the actual inspiration behind them :

Off Topic Discussion (NON FIREARM RELATED) / Re: TV Worth Watching?
« on: August 13, 2019, 01:00:30 PM »
If you have Amazon Prime watch The Expanse. It's awesome.

It's a hard-ish Sci-Fi where there's no real magic tech beyond engines efficient enough to accelerate at several G's for days or weeks. There's no artificial gravity, but ships are built like a skyscraper with the engines on the bottom, so that while your accelerating the thrust creates artificial gravity. But if you're just coasting it's float or use mag boots!

Anyway I can sing it's praises all day, it's good. Watch it.

Also thanks!
