Prez Trump tests “positive” for covid 19

So much for the macho “masking and distancing don't apply to me” b.s. attitude

I can't imagine the heartache he would/should feel if he's responsible for infecting others

Sincerely hope that he, family and friends get thru this

That said.....”if” there was a viable alternative running for the POTUS I'd vote for him/her over stupid, moronic Trump

Richard "Rick" Rose, a 37-year-old man from Port Clinton, Ohio, recently died at his home from complications due to COVID-19.

Rose's death has attracted attention online due to his Facebook posts, in which he expressed doubt about coronavirus safety directives.

"Let make this clear. I'm not buying a f---ing mask. I've made it this far by not buying into that damn hype," he posted on April 28.

Throughout June, Rose "checked in" on Facebook at bars and restaurants in Ohio. On July 1, he wrote that he was experiencing symptoms of COVID-19.

Rose's family told a local outlet he tested positive for COVID-19 that same day and died on July 3.

house guests this month - the Wife's very good gal friend and the friends 16 y/o daughter will be spending some time here this month

the friend owns a 9mm (brand/model ?) but hasn't shot it - so, one of the days here we'll head to the range and let 'em shoot (after some "ground school" about their knowledge)

they're excited about going - should be a fun outing

(will take along my Wife's Air Lite .22 revolver for the daughter, in case she's nervous about shooting the 9)

this is a nice Crepe Myrtle on the edge of the driveway, somewhat close to the house - it "had" a bunch of not-so-attractive hedge-type bushes surrounding it, with vines and all sorts of nasty crap growing in the mess.....I couldn't stand looking at it so a while back I used the Tractor, an axe, shovel and loppers to get everything away from the tree

after all was removed we discovered this small brick "wall" and a couple of large stones - my Wife had topsoil brought in, then sod - I put address numbers on the wall (just for grins) and she made a little flower bed in front of the brick

the sod has taken hold and the flowers are blooming and I think she did a great job....:

there's a long/wide strip that runs either side of my seasonal creek - finally have the "growth" cleared, the route of the creek straightened and the sides sloped (vs dropoff) so now I wanna keep it clear - "thank you Tractor Supply" I bought this yesterday :

finally got it assembled and have tested it's functions - it's good to go.  the hopper holds 40 gallons (of whatever ya wanna spray) and the thing has 3 point Tractor mounts or it can ride on the bed of our Gator or one of our pickup trucks (or even towed in a trailer behind a lawn tractor.  the motor runs off the vehicle's battery.....has booms that can be extended that, with their 4 spray nozzles, will spray a 10' wide swath - or - a wand function can be selected

next I'm wanting to get this - a 6' box blade with rippers - this one also sold at Tractor Supply :  (ah yes, life on the Ranch changes one's priorities in life.....)

when in Tyler yesterday I stopped at Superior Outfitters, just so my Wife could see a really nice Gun Store

she saw this G19 and wanted to buy it, on the spot - had to remind her that we've got 2 G19s sitting at home

(but.....she's a good Wife and next time in Tyler I just may get it for her)

have a somewhat short line of trees, perhaps a dozen of 'em, out in the far back Pasture that have "junk" growing around their trunk bottoms

using a Machete, Loppers, Recip Saw we've put 1 day in cleaning out the vines and other crap that's growing there - have about 4 more trees to go and will get to those today

the trees sure look better after being cleaned up - we'll load all the trash and dump curbside

the City has a service that, once a month, comes by curbside on all properties and collects all cuttings, branches and limbs (from storms or from resident's cuttings) - they run all thru a BIG wood chipper and into the back of a truck - so - no "burn pile" is required by us

very appreciative that the City does that

recent range visit and put forth an effort to clean the pistols that we used - 1 of which was my Wife's G42  Glock

got it cleaned but.....when reassembling it I got it off the forward rails and the darned slide is jammed, somehow, with the lower

don't wanna force it so I'm headed for a gunsmith in Tyler this morning - guess that's what I get for not "working with" these pistols more often

Longview (TX) is where my Wife's Spartan zero-turn gets worked on.....and it's the location of the closest indoor shooting range

the Wife is concerned, and rightly so, about the current b.s. that's going on in our Country - so - we combined a trip to Longview to pick up the Mower after it was serviced and some practice with a few of our handguns

She took along her G19 and G42, plus her Ed Brown (in 9mm) also her Truck's center console's LCR 357/38spec.....I opted for just 1 - my FN 5.7 (which jammed on me last time, shooting at a snake)

All went well - with the exception of her G42, which jammed after the 2nd or 3rd round (will have to use a tool to un-jam) - 'twas good breathing the gunsmoke again

"HOUSTON, Texas -- Joe Biden dined at one of Houston's most-acclaimed black-owned restaurants on Monday. Biden, the current Democratic party nominee for president and former vice president, enjoyed brunch with his wife Jill at Lucille's in the Museum District"

does anyone really believe that this scumbag would be doing this (free lunch thing) if he wasn't running for prez ?

equate the george floyd killing (by a white policeman) to the number of black people killing black people in chicago in just 1 weekend (where's the stop killing black people protesting ?)- come on biden.....head for chicago

ironically I flew the 1st departure out of the  "new then" International Airport Houston) in 1969 (had flown into Hobby, laid over, limo'd to IAH and flew out the next morning)

I bought a new HP printer yesterday, tried to get it up and running this morning - a no hold of the "person in India or Pakistan" who said I had no firewall/needed for the set-up - I've never paid any attention to that but thought that my Anti-Virus program had all the protection I needed....."not so" says Neelu Dhingra

so, he and my Wife spent the morning setting up a costly firewall (I can't hear nor understand those people) - also cleaned up the computer and the whole process took about 3+ hours - I'm still not sure how this all comes together, but.....

any comments ref "firewall" ?

yesterday I spent over 5 hours on my Kubota L3901 (39hp, open non-cab) and my 5' Rotary Cutter mowing Pasture - was wearing a wide brim hat but, even so, my face and neck got sunburned (not to mention I slept well last night) and I mowed only about 1/2 of 1 of the 2 main Pastures in that time

so today we went "Tractor lookin'" - John Deere 1st then Kubota - really liked the Kubota better so we bought M4-071 - 73.2 horsepower, 4WD diesel, delux wide cab (that's got the instructor's/jump seat and all the goodies - heat/air/am and fm/cd player), 12 speed transmission (6 each in high & low ranges)

then also bought a 12' Land Pride heavy duty Bat Wing Rotary Cutter (my present RC is 5' so this is gonna knock off a lot of Tractor sittin'  :th_thicon_idea:).  all will be delivered this coming Friday (I'll go get checked out at the dealership on Thursday)

when I sell the L39 I'll include the Front Loader and the Rotary Cutter in the sale

this pic is out of the brochure but will post pics of the set-up after delivery
