You'd better keep an eye on them. You don't want them burrowing under your foundation. You won't believe the damage they can cause. Those borrows can be massive.

For you readers, try the app, Libby. It provides nearly an infinite quantity of books and audiobooks for FREE. All you need is a library card and you can do everything from home. You download each book for two weeks. I have been using Libby for about ten years now.

Were I one of those volunteers. My response would be " Come and get it" :P
At 8.25 percent, in most cases, the cost of collecting the tax would exceed the revenue.

Something everybody ought to remember; all that stimulus, unemployment, pay protection, etc. is taxable and come tax time, you had better be prepared.

Nothing like the graditude of the State of New York

New York State, a virus hot spot, requested healthcare workers from across the nation to come and help with frontline response efforts. Any of those that heeded the call and remained in the state for longer than 14 days are liable for the state’s income tax.

Politics, Gripes, Complaints / So Do You Really Think Trump Will Win?
« on: April 30, 2020, 12:57:01 PM »
The chances that Trump will win this Fall are getting slimmer and slimmer. Take a look at this.

Yeah, we have crooked Dem operatives controlling voting, a call for more mail-in/ absentee ballots, an antagonistic Media and an economy in the toilet, and an activist Silicon Valley. What could go wrong?

I have a friend that wants to sell his 50# Little Giant power hammer. He has years of knife making experience. You might end up with a power hammer and some valuable information to boot. PM me if you want his email?
Also, Houston has a very active Knife Makers club. Another great place to get info from some serious craftsmen.

Politics, Gripes, Complaints / Are we being told the Truth?

I picked this up from another site and can't verify it, but WTF is going on? Are we being conned? Are there any medical people on this forum? What do you have to say?

plus1 on the Tacoma. That's my primary driver. The Ford would be my second choice.

I paid $1.38 at Costco today. I remember many years ago when I first paid $1.30. I was terrified that I wouldn't be able to drive my car to work anymore. I was making $8.25/hr back then. My how times have changed. :th_thicon_idea:

I have had USAA since 1972. They may not have the best customer service, but THEY ALWAYS PAY. I have had several claims over the years, some obviously my fault, and they have paid quickly without equivocation. Whereas neighbors and friends with similar claims got nothing but grief from their companies.

Politics, Gripes, Complaints / Re: Covid 19 Origin ?

Very interesting. YouTube removed it but magically retains the Chinese versions. So much for the First Amendment

Try this:

Politics, Gripes, Complaints / Covid 19 Origin ?

This is a very interesting video on the origin of the Covid19 virus.  It basically states ,with documented proof that the virus is a laboratory enhanced virus produced by entities of the Chinese government.  Much  of the proof is way above my technical pay grade, but the thesis is plausible to me. It is about an hour long and well done,  so I  would  suggest that you view it.  If it makes  sense to you , pass it on to others.

Politics, Gripes, Complaints / The NRA is pissing me off
« on: April 01, 2020, 05:16:03 PM »
I have been an annual member of the NRA for probably 30+ years. I used to get an annual notice to pay my dues. I now get one several times a year. Two weeks ago I got my 2020 membership card. Today I got a letter in a red envelope stating that my membership will expire in May. The membership card has no expiration date other than 2020. I am wondering how many years in advance I have paid. I just about to cancel my membership altogether. I am tired of being a chump.
