CZ rami. 10 or 14 round mags.

If that's too small,, go with a CZ PCR or P01.
Same 14 round mags that ALSO work in the rami,, or 16 round full size mags,, which also work in the 2075 rami, 75 series pcr, 75 compact ,  or p01.

So you can go high capacity in any of the 75 series compacts. Or 2075 rami sub compact, just by swapping mags.

I wont go into a big spill on how AWESOME CZs are.  :th_thicon_idea:

Good luck.

Oh. I know I have CZs as well. But I don't have a Rami. I didn't even think of that one. I have to look at some size comparisons of that one.

Handguns and Revolvers / Looking for a new smallish carry 9mm
« on: February 26, 2020, 07:05:20 PM »
My current small carry 9 is a Kimber micro 9. And while I really like the gun it only gives me 8 rounds. So I'm trying to decide between Springfield Armory Hellcat with 13 + 1, the Sig 365xl with 12 + 1, or the Glock 48 in which I can buy Shield arms magazines making it 15 + 1 with a flush magazine.

The pros of the Hellcat are it's very small and a good capacity; the cons of the Hellcat are I would prefer a 4-inch Barrel like the other two as I will be carrying IWB.

I love the idea of the Glock 48 with the flush-fitting 15-round magazines, the problem is every Glock I've ever shot and bites the web of my hand without a beavertail extension and I can't find one for the Glock 48, otherwise I would just buy this one.

Finally the Sig 365xl is the right barrel length and a good capacity. But I hate the feeling of that snapping wet branch feeling of the trigger.

So HELP me choose!

Also if someone has another idea just please mention it. Currently the two I've been carrying other than the Kimber are a Glock 26 or a Beretta Px4 Storm Sub-Compact. They're good carry guns but they're a bit fat.

I am a huge fan of the Beretta 92 and I have about 30 variants of them. Then on a whim I purchased two Px4 Storms one in 9mm and one in .40S&W. I was surprised how much I liked the .40S&W Px4 so much that I bought a 96fs. Then I was surprised how much I prefer the 92 to the 96 for some reason. So, I recently sold the 96 and I have these like new Mec-gar magazines with the Anti-friction coating. Three 13 round flush mags and three 15 round extended mags. Only used at the range one time.

13 rounders for $16 each and the 15 rounders for $18 each.

Or $90 for all of them.

I would also be willing to trade one-for-one for 14 round .40S&W Px4 magazines or 13 or 17 round 9mm Px4 Magazines.

Money Order or PayPal.  No shipping fees.

I can't ship to any state with magazine capacity restrictions.

Handguns and Revolvers / Bought a kind of 1911 I said I'd never own
« on: July 24, 2019, 10:50:48 AM »
I have never liked aluminum 1911 frames. When I carry a 1911 (about twice a week), it is always a commander 45 but since my back surgery the 42oz gun is a bit too heavy. So, I finally broke down and bought an aluminum one. I wanted a commander with a full size frame not an officer's; so, I shopped around for the lightest model. It came down to the SA Range Officer Champion at 30oz and the Kimber Pro custom II at 28oz. The beautiful bluing on the Kimber sold it.

It turned out to be a great shooter as well. It does have more felt recoil then the steel one but just barely.
All shooting done at 14 yards. I shot it comparatively with my now retired SIG Emperor Scorpion Commander.

Grouping with the SIG

Groupings with the Kimber and a spent case for size comparison. The center grouping in the chest is shooting as fast as I could pull.

Always impressive!

Thanks, I am really liking this CZ!

It comes in traditional DA (DA/SA) with a decocker but a conversion is in the box to SAO with a thumb safety. I shot it with and without the Comp and the comp works very well. You can actually watch the sights moving back and forth with practically no muzzle rise at all. See the video.

Next is the .40S&W Beretta Px4 Storm with the G 'decocker only' converstion.

A muzzle brake on a 9mm ???

For USPSA, a steel gun with a brake means nearly zero muzzle rise while shooting very quickly and faster split times. You can watch the front sight ride back and forth in the rear sight.

General Gun Discussion / Carrying a Beretta again
« on: April 17, 2019, 05:53:15 PM »
I have been carrying a G22 with two spare mags for quite a while now and wanted to change it up. I took out my 92fs Inox converted to 'G' with 18+1 and two 20rd mag spares. I carried it for 3 days and ...

IT IS HEAVY.    Constantly pulling my pants up.

Much heavier then I remember. So, I altered the plan and tried carrying my 92D Compact Type L with 13+1 and two 18rd spare mags. And that turned out to be the perfect weight. It just seems so weird to me as I used to carry a full size Beretta and two 20 round mags for years before the Glocks infected me. I guess I was spoiled by polymer.

It has a great trigger and I already put in the G 'decocker only' converstion. The flush mag is 14+1 but I am going to carry it with the extended mag for 17+1 of .40 S&W. Its a pretty small extension for an additional 3 rounds of 40.

Range report coming soon.

I just couldn't resist!!!!!!!!

Going to be my USPSA gun. It comes in traditional DA (DA/SA) with a decocker but a conversion is in the box to SAO with a thumb safety. I haven't shot it yet but it has an awesome SA trigger.

Interesting find.  Not sure for what it would be used.  Nice shooting.  I've tried to like the XD pistols; three XDM's in 9mm, .45, and .40.  Just couldn't find the love.  What did you use to capture the images?

Nikon D850

I found a cool XD-40 V10. This model was hard to find when they came out. It was called the V10 because it has 5 vertical ports on either side of the barrel at 45 degrees offset to true vertical. I brought some buffalo bore ammo to the indoor range to get some cool high speed video stills and to deafen everyone in proximity. I also think the warning "Danger Exhaust Ports" is hilarious!!

BTW... IT ....  IS .... LOUD!!!

I think it rattled my dang teeth. It feels worse then my 44 snubbie.. I love it!!
The rounds are Buffalo Bore 155 grain. +P loads and with my Chroni I clocked the velocity at 1230fps per average of 10 rounds out of this 4" barrel with the ports.

And this was just kind of shooting for fun at 15 yards:

This is my first 40 cal Beretta. Can't wait to shoot it for the first time Monday. What is nice is that its an older Beretta with all metal components.
