NFA / Re: Ultra quiet *Centerfire* rifle: what does it take?

Suppressed Subsonic 300 AAC is pretty quiet & it works great in the AR15 platform

From the videos Iíve seen, a pistol caliber lever action shooting non-Magnum Special ammo or downloaded Cowboy Action ammo through a suppressor is really quiet, but the ammo is heavy enough to still thump whatever it ends up hitting.

A while back I bought the front sight that someone took off their WC BrigTac. I finally put it onto my Billie after I got comfortable after doing it a few times. Took an empty soda can outside & put it on the ground on its side. Went back about 10 yards and hit it about a half dozen times to make sure I centered the sight correctly.  :th_thicon_idea:

Before I ever bought the gun I found a spare set of the carbon fiber grips that already had the sticky stuff rubbed off, so I put them on when I got the gun to protect the original grips. A while back I swapped in an NP3 coated barrel to protect the original from wear. I changed the hammer spring to I think a 12# from WC. I modded a set of Hogue grip panels to work with the grip safeties. They feel great, but I still love the look of the original grips. The smooth CF is slippery, but the front & back straps have the best checkering of any Beretta Iíve held.

I wonder if anybody else has ever put a tritium night sight on a Billennium?

When I have to carry mine (with the Hogue grip sleeve, lightened reshaped metal trigger, & front night sight) I am less worried about how comfortable it is for me to shoot than how the badguy feels with a chest full of Gold Dots.

I still donít know how they fit 10+1 9mm in such a small gun!
I know this is the Sig thread, but...

KT has been selling flush fit 12rd mags for the P-11 for over a decade.

I took it apart down to the bare frame. Well, I didnít take out the grip screw bushings or the staked ejector pin. Iíve wondered how the insides of these work for years. Now Iíve got a pretty good idea.  :th_thicon_idea:

Iím kinda sorta thinking that it might replace my 686-6 as my truck gun.

You know the cuts on the slide where the hammer pin sticks up to stop the rear of the slide in case the front breaks off that goes back to the old 92? Those are in slightly different places on the Cougar & PX4. So, in order to test it, I cut down a spare PX4 hammer pin to where it does not stick up. It was a cheap part that I had an extra of already. But now that Iíve committed to the project by cutting the grip frame, Iíll probably make the cut in the Cougar slide & put in a normal hammer pin.

Hereís something I doubt youíll see from anybody else...

I like my Rossi 92 in 357. I did a little work to clean up the action & to reduce some of the sharp edges a bit. One of the biggest improvements I did was cutting the mag tube spring a little. It was under a lot of pressure that made loading difficult.

Mine is a stainless 16 inch. I didnít care for the look of the wood when I got it.

I dyed the wood black with a hint of blue that you can only see in certain light.

Later I also replaced the rear buckhorn sight with a Weaver rail & put on a cheap red dot.

I ordered one of the cheapest uppers & LPK I could find to put on a lower Iíve had a couple years. I e got maybe $350 into this so I was initially going to call it El Cheapo. I was also going to put a camo paintjob on it, but after the ODG basecoat I kinda decided that I like it like that for now.

I figure that this would be a good one to take when I go out in the woods of my property on the side by side. Itís a lot smaller & lighter than my Colt & more practical than my AR pistol. I need to find a good way to mount it in my Polaris Ranger.

The video worked for me. Thatís crazy.

I recently bought a CMR30 in 22 Mag. I had a few boxes of ammo already because I had a 22Mag cylinder for my Heritage Rough Rider. I mainly used CB caps in that pistol, & rarely shot Magnums from it. As you can imagine, it is easy to run through ammo a lot faster when you have a semiauto with 30rd mags than a single action pistol. Now I need to buy some more ammo. Iím thinking that this gun could use some better optic than the cheap red dot I put on it, too.

For a while now Iíve wanted to paint a 92 frame blue for some reason. Well, I decided to go ahead & do that to the 96D Centurion I just got.

Just for the heck of it, here are the Before pics

Model: PO969DCENT
Product Description: 96D .40CAL CENT TRIT PL N/S 10RD 2MG DAO
Approximate Manufacture Date: 1995

So I stripped it down, swapped on some spare parts, got a little creative, then put it back together with parts from my Elite LTT frame & some carbon fiber grips Iíve had for 10 years.

Iíve actually got plans to use this slide for another project that should be real interesting.

Does it come with the optic & light? Where are you located?

A while back I put a bunch of NP3 & stainless parts on my original M9, but recently started feeling a bit nostalgic & wanted to bring the M9 back to closer to the factory condition. Then I ran across someone selling a complete LTT Elite frame. So I bought that & swapped the silver parts to it along with the 96D Brigadier upper that the M9 was wearing. Since Langdon had specced the LTT to have some of the sharp edges taken off & that Brig slide had been refinished before I decided to do a little more to it. A long time ago a Beretta Forum member called Escher did some work to polish the sides of a few slides. Iíve always liked that look, so I did that with this Brig.

My M9 came with factory grey aluminum Hogue grips. I used them with an extra steel trigger & mag release I already had when I put it back to stockish. Iíve got a hammer with the military catalog numbers stamped on the way & am on the lookout for a metal lanyard loop.
