First, what are you calling a carbine?  I have a couple of SBRs, nothing else of mine fits the definition of a carbine.

To All,

My treasured Remington Model 7615 5.56NATO Police Carbine that seems as if it is being "adopted by" a certain blue-eyed female person.
(I'd guess that I get to start looking for another one for me.)

Mine would have to be my JR Carbine 9mm takedown.

Its accurate beyond belief to 150 yards ,  cheaper to shoot than a 22 mag, quiet as a 22 LR,  and OH, an makes a pretty good hole.  :thumbsup1:  .

I got mine set up with a 3 x 9 night scope and a Pro Mag green laser light. I can easily see to identify my target  and accurately shoot to right at 200 yards at night.

Ive totally ruined several coyotes  evenings with it.  The 115 grain CCI blazer brass FMJ makes a mess of em.  :rocknroll2:

I always thought a "Carbine" meant it was a (usually short rifle) that used a handgun cartridge.  Am I wrong?

I don't believe it's the caliber just the length of the barrel. Twenty inches or shorter I believe but it could be eighteen.
I have a few carbines. A paratrooper model Norinco SKS in 7.62 x 39 with "16 barrel, a Aero Precision AR 15 with a "16.5 barrel, a Mini-14 with 18. 5" barrel and a few older military bolt action rifles that may qualify but I'm to lazy right now to get them out and measure.
The one that seems to get the most trigger time at the range as of late is my CZ Scorpion EVO in 9mm.

I've got a Burris Fast Fire 3 red dot on another firearm I'm thinking of putting on it but more than likely I'll leave it stock.

Tough question.  Very tough question.  I own 6 rifles and 4 are carbines - 22lr, 10mm, 460 Rowland and .308W.

For today, gimme the 10mm Mechtech.  I am really, really liking the Browning BLR and it might be the favorite ... one day.

VERY NICE Alte Schule.

I love my CZ's and would have bought that carbine IF they would have made it take CZ 75 series mags.

Is your carbine the one with the built in suppressor ?

I guess mine doesn't qualify as a carbine.

To All,

To me alone,  a carbine is something less than a full-size rifle, regardless of caliber. = My little 7615 is "just too handy" to grab for defense/hunting for game up to & including WT.
(My lady likes it as it's NOT really loud, NOT too heavy for her to handle competently & does NOT kick much, as she's petite. = I suspect that she'll get her WT and/or Axis Buck with it this Fall.)

Yes sir it is. It isn't as quiet as a screw on can but it works OK. Sounds like a .22.  I have a video of my grandson shooting steel but I can't get it to load.

Tough question.

I have 2 favorites,
a 1962 Ruger .44 Carbine and a USGI M1 Carbine.

If I have to pick one over the other,
I would have to go with the M1 Carbine, it's just the most fun to shoot.

car·bine
ˈkärˌbīn,ˈkärbēn
noun - a light automatic rifle.
historical - a short rifle or musket used by cavalry.

A carbine (/ˈkɑːrbiːn/ or /ˈkɑːrbaɪn/), from French carabine, is a long arm firearm but with a shorter barrel than a rifle or musket. Many carbines are shortened versions of full-length rifles, shooting the same ammunition, while others fire lower-powered ammunition, including types designed for pistols.

I've never liked PCCs for much other than toys. My favorite AR is a 14.5 inch barreled BCM RECCE with an ACOG on it. If that's too long then I'd go with my 11.5 inch barreled BCM sbr with an Aimpoint. However, I normally run it suppressed so it's not much shorter overall than my other ARs. Lol.

I do have a 8.5 300blk sbr with another ACOG, but haven't shot it yet.

Me either. When we was kids, IF, and I say IF, we were even in the house and NOT in the woods playing/ camping/etc,
HEE HAW was our Saturday night.

We only got 2 channels, so TV was NOT a very big factor at our house.

SNL is way to libtard for me to even consider watching.
Once actors go full retard, I wont watch anything they are in.  :thumbsup1:
